My Journey With Shri Sai Baba Of Shirdi

I’ve been reading the experiences on this site for many years, and I’ve wanted to document and submit my experiences with Shirdi Sai Baba some time now. However, I’ve struggled considerably when it comes to how to begin to chronicle everything I’ve experienced and the transformation that I’ve embarked upon due to Shri Sai’s grace over the past 12+ years. Call it “writers block”? If I were to document everything, it would go on and on and on for pages and pages – as many of you would agree, Shri Sai’s graces is limitless and showers us with miracles on a daily basis! What I hope to do here is try to document what I’ve experienced to the best of my ability. I hope my experiences resonate with the readers of this site.

As is the case with many of us, my experiences with the divine graces of Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi have been extremely unique. It has been a phenomenal journey, one filled with endless tremendous miracles, krupa, blessings, and guidance. Some background on me: my parents moved from India to America many years ago, and I was born and raised here in the US. Ours was a traditional Hindu household, and worshipped the primary Hindu Gods (Ganesh, Durga, Radha/Krishna, Ram/Sita/Hanuman, Shiva, etc). However, I never knew – nor did parents know much – about Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi. My journey began back in the year 2000 when I had a dream of a man (who I realized a few years later was Shirdi Sai Baba) seated on a throne. It was almost as if it was an introduction. During this dream, I felt warmth and an embrace that was so strong and powerful, that it’s difficult to put into words. To this date, it remains the most vivid dream I’ve ever had in my life.

Beginning in the year 2003: I was invited to my cousin’s engagement party in the New York/New Jersey area. It turned out that the ceremony itself was at the Shirdi Sai Mandir. When I entered the temple, at once I realized the murti to the same figure that was in my dream from a few years back. I knew at once that this was a sign from Baba, a sign of reassurance and inviting me to take His darshan. Still, I didn’t pay as much attention as I should have, and forgot about it when I came back home.

The next year, in 2004, I was at the office and I looked at the door and I saw a very small picture of Shirdi Sai Baba right above the door to my office. At once I was reminded of what I saw the year prior at the temple in New York and in my dream. I took it as an urgent sign, that this figure (Shri Sai Baba) is here with me and wants me to recognize Him. But I was confused as to where, how, and when to do this. In 2005 and 2006, again I forgot about Shri Sai Baba and went about life without the guidance of His grace. Fast forward to 2007, and all of a sudden I began to remember about Shri Sai Baba. In fact, it’s all I could think about. Of course as Baba says, His timing is perfect; the first Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir in our area had just opened less than a year prior. I actually took off work one day to visit the temple and pay my respects and have Baba’s darshan. Despite the fact that I’ve been back there over a 100 times since, I’ll never forget that first darshan on my own. As I bowed to Baba, I felt that a force was being moved out of me – what and how that was is tough to put into words. Physically I felt as if a huge weight was being taken out of me. I felt this sensation for a few days after as well. I believe its Baba’s way of initiating what’s been a long standing (11.5 years and counting) transformation that’s helped me in every facet of my life in countless ways. I continued my journey to have Baba’s darshan on occasion, and even got into the practice of saying “Om Sairam” in the morning, 11 times, as my prayer. Believe me when I tell you these words wonders and my day goes far better when I do this.

A phenomenal miracle of Shri Sai Baba occurred in my life a couple of years later. My mom felt ill – fever and breathing difficulties – and had to be entered into the hospital emergency room. We weren’t sure what the problem was, and it took some time for the doctors to figure it out as well. The hospital she was admitted into was one of the best in our area, and ranks as one of the top in the country. Things progressively became worse and ultimately she ended up being put on a life support. None of the specialists seemed to know what the proper cure of treatment path should be. The situation was becoming increasingly dire; we were told to prepare for and expect the worst. Unbeknownst to the rest of the family, I left the hospital saying that I was going to get something and went to the local Shirdi Sai Mandir in our area. I bowed my head and sincerely prayed to Baba to help save my mother, and bring her back to life. I then asked the pujari to provide me with some Udi. I took the Udi back with me to the hospital, and requested permission from the doctors to put some on my mom and hoped that this could possibly be the cure to bring her back. Once the Udi was applied, a turnaround began and she started to slowly show signs of life. Slowly her condition improved, she regained consciousness, and returned home after a couple of weeks. Her recovery was a protracted one; it certainly wasn’t immediate and lasted for quite some time even after she was released from the hospital. All the medical professionals were labeling her case as a “miracle recover” – without even knowing about the Udi being applied! Certainly it was a very special miracle granted by Shri Sai – one that we never forget and remember regularly. Once she was back to normal, our family together began to embark upon periodic visits to the local Shri Sai Mandir.

I’ve experienced countless other miracles on a professional job front as well. A few years back I was tired and fed up of my current assignment, and asked for removal from my assignment for consideration on another internal project. I was removed, but over two months passed and I didn’t have another project assignment lined up. The pressure was mounting from my company leadership to get me staffed as soon as possible. I was told that I may face job elimination altogether! I prayed over and over again to Baba to help me find a role on a project that could/would bring out the best in me. I received a phone call that there was an assignment on my old project, and I had no choice. I was disappointed, because it was the very same project that I had asked to be removed from. But I had no choice, and went back to that project. However, this time things were so very different. It was as if the role was created just for me, and the work was truly bringing out the best in me – so much so, that I received a surprise promotion in six months! It was as if Sai Baba Himself created this opportunity for me and put me into it. Also on the professional front: for my current job assignment, a security clearance is required, and for reasons that I will not get into here it didn’t seem that I would pass my clearance. I kept praying to Baba to show me a miracle with the clearance, as I did not want this current project opportunity to be taken away from me because of the security clearance involved. Despite praying over and over again, I was called in for an appointment to do my paperwork. Lo and behold, when I went in for the appointment, I was told that I did not have to complete any security paperwork, and that the paperwork from my previous project would be ok for this! Everyone else in line in the office was stunned.

Apart from work, Baba continues to bless, guide, and direct me with regards to my health. Last August, my eye became increasingly red and painful and I didn’t want to go to the doctor to get steroids as I’ve heard that ultimately it gives more damage to the eye for the long term. I prayed to Baba over and over again – even went to the mandir with an extremely red eye! I prayed to Baba for a miracle that I would like my red eye cleared without conventional medicine and through His grace and krupa. I prayed repeatedly over and over again, and applied Udi to the top of my eyelid every day. I drank the Udi mixed with water as well. Still, there were no signs of the redness going away. Finally I made a doctor’s appointment and sure enough as I was driving to the doctor; I was looking in the mirror in the car and the redness was starting to go away! By the time I got the doctor’s office, it was almost all gone! And an even bigger miracle: the doctor’s office said that the doctor didn’t have time to see me due to a previous patient. Meaning that my full prayer was answered: Baba cured my eye redness without any medical intervention! However, I did request that the doctor see me for just a few minutes, as to rule out anything serious. The doctor gave me some medicines, but sure enough by the time I came home that night, whatever little eye redness was there, was completely gone.

These are just some of the miracles I’ve experienced over the past 10+ years. There are so many more, but there just isn’t room on this site to publish them all! Above all, it’s the guidance I get from Baba that I value the utmost. Things like introducing me to the Vishnu Sahasranama, to getting me to quit bad habits (reduce the intake of poor quality food and drinks), so serving as my “therapist” in helping me overcome some seriously psychological, emotional, and mental trauma I endured earlier in my life. The last 10 years have been an immense transformation in me that I owe and credit solely to Shri Sai Baba. Every time I visit Baba’s mandir, be it the actual mandir in our town or the one I’ve created in my home, I bow my head with the deepest and utmost sense of humility, gratitude, and surrender – offering to Baba my mind, body, soul, and spirit – thanking Him for His krupa, blessings and guidance and humbly requesting His continued guidance and blessings. I will forever pray that He help protect and guide me and my family and steer us all in the right direction. Om Sairam!

Sai Babaji’s Confirmation

I had started reading these experiences before 4-5 years, I got more closer to Babaji and my faith increased. This page gives me true meaning of God, thank you so much Hetal mam and your team. My first experience here. Sorry if I make many mistakes because I am not so good at English. Please mam post my experience. I have so many experiences with Babaji and this is a very big miracle of Sai maa that happened with me.

I love one guy, so due to my past bad karmas I am suffering a lot in this relationship and it’s about many years. At first time before 5 years, I got hopes from this site. So, I also got hopes for my relationship. I started asking Babaji should I continue or not Babaji started giving me positive signs through questions answer site, wore my favourite colour dress and so many. Before 15 days I read here one devotee’s experience how Babaji gave him confirmation. So, I also said to Sai Babaji that Sai Maa I also need one big confirmation. I am very depressed due to this. One day I saw on YouTube one priest of Sai Baba temple and who said to listen Sai Bhajan ‘thoda Dhyan laga Sai dore dore ayenge tujhe gale se lagayenge’. At the same time I started hearing this song and was crying also very badly. But I did not understand that why Sai Babaji wanted me to hear that beautiful Bhajan; because that was my confirmation. I realized it later; how before this big confirmation I also got two more confirmations. Babaji wore my favourite color dress on Thursday and at the same day I read His name in Sai Satcharitra but not clearly on the same night. I slept at 2 am because I continuously chanted ‘om Shri Sai Natahye Namah’. So at morning when I got up, I opened instagram and I saw Sai Baba’s picture with his name same to same which I saw in Sai Satcharitra (his name but was not clear so was not sure yet).

Yesterday then I heard on YouTube one Babaji’s devotee conversation. Then I understood that Babaji wanted to tell me that forgive everyone, when you forgive him then he will be able to come. Sai maa taught me to forgive everyone’s sins either it small or big. I know it is hard but when we forgive anyone we feel very free and also it is good for our benefits.

After that at the same time I heard Sai Bhajan again thoda dhyan laga Sai dore dore ayenge. Then while I was hearing that song one thought came in my mind that I should forgive his mistakes. Then I realised and decided to forgive him. Then I said to Babaji that Deva I forgive him today. At the same time I scrolled comment section and what I saw was his name two times with Sai Baba’s name. What I had prayed to Babaji; I exactly saw the confirmation. Then I was able to understand why Babaji wanted me to hear this song. At that time I was like how merciful is my Babaji, how great is my Sai Baba and my heart was full with love and devotion. Babaji gave me confirmation with one big lesson. I said Babaji, “when You fulfil my this wish, I will post my experience here also”. So yesterday my prayer got answered.

So I am waiting for him. Please everyone pray for me. Babaji fulfil my big wish soon. Please Babaji bless all my Sai family. That’s why today I fulfilled my promise and shared my experience here and I love to share my experience here because I learn many good things from this site and from Sai family. I will also post my next experience when I get married with him. Please Babaji soon fulfil my wish. I love You the most my Sai Babaji. True; Baba is our Mother, Father, Guru and Friend. Sai Baba’s Miracle For My Job And Visa

Om Sairam all devotees. I would like to thank Hetalji for running this platform so successfully by bringing all the Sai leelas in one place so that all of us can understand Sai and His teachings better and never lose hope.

I reside in the US since last 12 years. Baba has been very kind to me and my family in rough times and has always been there to protect us. I am a fulltime working mother with a 6 years old child. I lost my job early this year and being on a work visa I had 2 months to find a job and to not lose my visa status. It was a very difficult time for me and my family. I used to apply every day and prayed that I get a call for an interview. I started doing Nav guruvar vrat. Only by Baba’s grace I got calls, I got interviews and I first I got placed in a very big bank. This job was about 1.5 hours from home. They called and gave an oral offer saying that they would send me an offer letter the next day. I was shocked as Baba did this miracle. He had blessed me.

Few days passed and after following up I got to know on a Thursday that the position was freezed. I lost all my hopes and I only had 3 weeks to go, to find a job and get my visa situation sorted. I thought Baba was not listening to my prayers. I was very depressed, and I told Him it was only Him Whom I could rely on then. I started the Sai divya pooja. It gave me immense peace while going through the tough times. I waited patiently, used to cry every single day in front of Him in the hope that I would get an interview. I would keep checking my Gmail in a hope that I will get an interview confirmation. In the next week things started to move. I appeared for an interview and they gave me an offer next day. It was unbelievable; this job was again about 1. 5 hours from home. I cried all day out of joy and disbelief. I accepted the offer and started paper work. I went to Baba temple with the first offer letter (which was far), asked Panditji to put the papers near Him. I was praying Him to give me an indication and bless me. But the folder fell off from Baba’s statue. I was a little worried by what that meant but thought may be Baba blessed me like that. Then I got another interview request which was closer to home and at 30 minutes. I was selected and they gave me an offer as well. I could not believe what was happening with me, but knew it was only Baba Who was doing it. It was a very tough situation. I accepted the closer offer too and asked them to start the paper work for visa. It was hard to make the call on which job to choose. I went to Baba temple again with the second offer letter (which was closer to home), asked panditji to put the papers near Him. I was praying Him to give me an indication and bless me. This time the folder did not fall. I was full of tears as Baba gave me the indication on which one to choose. I made the call, I said no to the first company.

Next was the visa hurdle. They applied for my visa and I got a visa query. I joined the job, now if this query would be rejected I had to quit work and I would have to go to India ASAP. It was too stressful. But I left everything to Baba. The attorney took 3 months to reply to the query but only with Saima’s grace my visa got approved. He has taught me in this tough time how to get stronger and have patience and faith. Situation I was in was very difficult, but I learnt how to keep faith on Him. I learnt how to help others. I started food donation every Thursday in a Baba’s temple in India. It gives me immense happiness that Baba has given me a source and strength to continue what I started by saving my job and visa. I learnt how to keep praying no matter what. I used to get upset that He is not listening to me, but He was always beside me. Only He has saved me and my family from a very difficult life situation once again. Om Sairam. Bless all Your devotees with happiness and strength Baba.

Baba’s Blessings

Experience 1. Once I had to renew something online and I forgot the password. I tried so many times but it didn’t work. Finally, my Id was going to be locked. I had only one last chance and so I prayed to Baba and tried one last time. It worked. Thank You Baba for Your kindness.

Experience 2. My baby had very bad hiccups in the night that didn’t stop for long time. I prayed to Baba if it stops then I would post my experience. Then needless to say that her hiccups stopped immediately and she slept peacefully.

Experience 3. I had a very bad headache one day. I took a tablet; it didn’t work so I prayed to my beloved Baba that if my headache goes away, I would post my experience. My headache stopped the next minute. Thank You Baba for Your blessings. I continue to experience Your blessings every day in my life. I am going through a difficult time in my life now. I pray You to help me and everyone around me to overcome this difficult time. Baba You are my strength and hope in life. I feel really lucky to be Your devotee. Sai Blessed Me With A Baby Girl

Dear Sai Maa You have blessed me in countless ways and on days when my life was the darkest. You have stood by me through the toughest of times. Thank You for giving me Darshan and for making Your presence felt through bhajans and Your pictures which I can see in the most unexpected places. Sai Maa blessed me with a baby girl on 29th June 2018. I had always dreamt of having a daughter as my first kid. I kept praying day and night for Baba’s blessing. I know my daughter will be my friend forever so I always wanted a baby girl. All my well-wishers and family were praying that I should get a baby boy but Sai Maa listened to my prayers and was there with me throughout my delivery. I was terrified of the entire process of giving birth so I had carried a small picture of Baba with me in my hand. I was listening to Vishnu Sahasranaam and chanting Baba’s name throughout the entire procedure. But Sai Maa gave me strength and I was very, very happy and on Top of the World! Jai Saimaa! Please bless my daughter Sai Maa. Thank You Maa for being my Rock. There are some things for which I am praying to You daily. Please resolve those Baba.

Sai Helped My Dog’s Stomach Ache

Today I am writing to share my experience. Recently my female dog developed a bladder stone and couldn’t pass urine. She was in terrible condition and it’s very harmful for their health. We took her to the doctor and he did some emergency procedure to relive the urine. I was very affected by it all and absolutely distraught. The doctor said that if it happened again then to bring her in and that they were trying to dissolve the stones. I was very scared that it should not happen again. I asked Sai on question answer website and it said, “Blessings of Sai Baba is required or stomach ache won’t stop” and it also asked to donate pipe and tobacco, which we did. It has not happened since then. Thank You so much Baba for Your love and guidance. We are giving her homeopathic medicine to try and dissolve the stone. Sai is always there, it’s just that we get too overwhelmed. Sai is our all. Om Sairam.
