When All Hopes End, Sai Begins

Anonymous Shirdi Sai Devotee from USA says: Shri Satchidananda Satguru Sainath Maharaj Ki Jai! My humble pranams at the Baba’s Lotus feet, He who is my Guru and God. I have been in the Sai family through Balavikas from the age of 11. But over the years, especially after going to the US for higher studies, I had sort of forgotten Baba (a huge mistake on my part), but clearly as recent events have shown, Baba never forgot me. I am posting the following experience here because my husband and I were miraculously saved by Baba’s grace and compassion and we are eternally grateful to Him for that. We pray that we never ever let go of His feet again in the future, and that our faith in Him always stays strong and unwavering.

Earlier this year, my husband and I had to travel to India for family reasons. During this time, my husband had to appear at the consulate to get his H1B work visa stamped to re-enter the US. To our shock his visa was denied. We had no idea what to do and what was going to happen. Most lawyers claimed that a waiver had to be applied for to even re-enter the US if such a denial occurred, and that this process could take a year or longer. We thought if that was the case, my husband would not be able to keep his job working remotely for that long and relocation to India would be our most viable option. For many reasons, we didn’t want to relocate at that time, and also wanted our relocation to be a choice not something that we were forced to do. Anyway, somehow by Baba’s grace we got an immigration lawyer who said he could try to contest this wrongful denial without a waiver application.

The next couple of months after the lawyer wrote a memo to the consulate went by with no result. Before this time I had returned to the US to resume my job, leaving my husband behind. Our moods were dark, and we felt like we had hit a low point with no light in sight, and this was when Baba started to draw us towards Him. First, during my lowest of lows, Baba must’ve put this thought in my head, because I started to do both Satcharitra and Tapovanam Saptaha Parayans (back to back, 3 times each). Then I suddenly got inculcated into a US Mahaparayan group with the opportunity to do seva by captaincy. Then AASM (Anant Akhand Sai Mahajaap) as well, along with the opportunity to monitor one time slot. This was Baba rekindling Shraddha or faith in me. To add to existing complications of my husband’s visa, my own visa was almost expiring with my current job ending, but Sai begins when all hopes end, so by Baba’s grace at the last minute a new job appointment happened along with my work visa renewal.

My husband then re-appeared for a second visa interview (on a Thursday – this appointment happened because of Baba since this time slot suddenly appeared out of nowhere and the next available appointment was another month away) where the officer acknowledged the first wrongful denial and put my husband on administrative processing. This was a slight upgrade from before because at least some hope was there now that a visa could be issued. We thanked Baba for this, but again we had to wait a couple of more months while the visa was being processed. I believe this was Baba instilling Saburi or patience in us. Finally after 5 hard months of being apart, the visa was issued with passport pickup happening on a Thursday, and my husband was able to come back to the US (also on a Thursday). Note that during all this time, due to Baba’s grace, my husband’s work place also seemed understanding of the situation and allowed him to keep his job by working remotely (seriously, which company will allow something like this?).

During all these months, Baba showed me His presence in many ways, too many to list here. Here is Baba’s best leela – I made many promises to Him during this difficult time, but a very fleeting thought was that I would love to do pooja and abhishek to a statue of His. However, I didn’t dwell on this thought or mention it aloud to anyone, thinking if He wants He will come to me at the right time. Strangely, my husband himself suggested bringing a Baba statue from India, which he bought from outside a famous Baba temple (incidentally on 27th, which adds up to 9, Baba’s number). At first he got one of Baba just seated in the usual pose, and I had a fleeting thought it would be nice if it was one of Baba showing His blessing hand, then brushed aside the thought. It was then discovered that there was a flaw in the first piece so my husband then exchanged it for a statue of Baba showing His blessing hand (no other piece of the first type was available)! Baba came with my husband in his carry-on bag. Apparently in Delhi airport, during the security screen one of the security personnel asked my husband what the box containing the statue was, and why he didn’t check the statue in. My husband was scared and just hoped that he wouldn’t have to check Baba in, since he strongly believed if Baba came with him in the carry-on, he would have smooth passage into the US. Suddenly a second security person said that’s ok, he can take the statue in his carry-on itself (so relieved was my husband to hear this!). We are so certain that Baba Himself ensured my husband’s safe passage into the US.

My husband has always respected Baba, but in the last few months he has gained true faith. I am so amazed at how Baba has drawn me back to Him and how He has also drawn my husband to Him in the process. Please always let the lamp of love and faith in our hearts stay burning strongly for You, Baba. We are eternally grateful for all You have done for us, for without You none of this would have been possible. Om Sai, Shri Sai, Jai Jai Sai. Om Shri Sainathay Namah.

Baba Gave Me Khichadi

Shirdi Sai Devotee Smita from India says: On Sairam to all the devotees of Baba. Baba is omnipresent and never leaves His devotees alone. He keeps on doing leelas but we are not intelligent enough to understand them all. I keep experiencing Baba’s Leelas and would like to share this Leela which happened with me some hours back.

I visit Baba’s temple every Thursday and today is also a Thursday. From the past few days I was feeling as if Baba is angry with me. Since some of my long awaited work did not get successful and all my efforts for the same would go in vain, I thought Baba was not supporting me as He was not happy with me. Today while going to the temple for Madhyaan aarati, I was already late due to late arrival of the cab. I was pretty sure that arati would be over by the time I reach. In the cab suddenly I thought that I wish today there is khichdi served in the temple. But then I have been going to this temple for a long time from now, they have never served khichdi. They serve many other varieties of rice but not khichdi. Even here I was pretty sure that there will be no khichdi today. And here comes the miracle.

By Baba’s grace, I reached His temple in unbelievably short time due to which I could attend some part of the aarati. Also the biggest miracle of His, when I was entering the temple I looked at the place where prasad was served, there was no handi there. So I though may be there was no prasad that day. But when I came out after the aarati, what I saw amazed me! Though the big handi was still not there, a devotee had prepared khichdi as prasad and was distributing the same. I cannot express how blessed I felt. I felt earlier that Baba was angry with me, but now I am convinced that a mother (Baba) can never be angry with her children. Though Baba did not give me success in my work this time, but He must be having something big planned for me. I am waiting for Your Blessings Baba. Effect Of Compliance And Non-Compliance

Thanks to this beautiful blog – such a wonderful use of technology to share our experiences about Sai with people all around the world. Thanks to the people working behind the scenes for their divine service.

We have read in the Sai Satcharitra about the effect of compliance and non-compliance with Sai’s instruction. I have seen numerous times that whenever I cut short my pooja in order to rush somewhere or be distracted by some activity and delay/ignore a prayer, reading or other holy activity, I have seen that the other activity that I am engaged in will have some hurdle etc. only causing more delay while I would have cut short my pooja in order to focus on the alternate activity. For example if I am getting late to go somewhere and cut short my pooja, I will end up with more traffic than usual and end up late.

Today, instead of lighting the lamp and doing pooja, I remembered I had to order something online in order for it to be delivered. So I started ordering and upon checkout they gave me a delivery time which was way later than usual. Then I realized my mistake and asked for pardon. Then did the pooja immediately and gave it one more shot. Luckily I found out another way to get the items on time after the pooja. Our Sai’s Leelas are infinite. Let us always focus our mind on doing good to others and hold no ill feelings for anyone. Let us always remember Sai before starting anything important and may His divine grace always protect us. Jai Sairam.

God Has His Own Timing

Dear All, Before starting my experiences with Baba, I would like to thank Hetalji and the entire team for their wonderful service and helping us by sharing the devotees’ experience through this website. Coming to my experiences, there are lots; this one in specific which was due to be posted for a very long time. Sorry Baba for the delay in posting my experience late.

I have posted many experiences earlier; today I am here is because of my Baba’s blessings on me. I could say this is one of the experience that how Baba helped me in changing my job. I was praying Baba to change my job, as the company I was working was paying less and it had been 3 years that I had worked there. So I was praying Baba literally that I did fasting, Nav Guruvar Vrat and so on. Later on one fine day I started to get calls from the recruiters. I had attended the interviews so were failing and finally I got into the final stage and HR was waiting for approval from managers to release my offer letter. But don’t know what happened I did not get any offer letter or any updates since 2 weeks after my interview process. I was really tensed by that time. Then I made up my mind and started to give other interviews. Here comes with my Baba’s miracle that in only one day I had cleared all the rounds and I was with my offer letter in my hand that too with the best salary than the company which delayed in releasing my offer letter. Also my joining day was on Thursday. I was so happy and Thank You so much Baba. It was really my Baba’s blessing. So dear devotees whatever happens, that will happen for good and god has His own timings.

Baba Helped My Husband With A Job

I am from India. My husband lost his job. He was trying to get even a lower level job but nothing was working although 11 months had passed. I kept praying Baba to give him a good job. Baba told me to go to Shirdi, so I went with my mother to Shirdi and had a very beautiful darshan. After coming back my husband got a job with lower package and lower level. Again I prayed Baba to atleast give him a good package or a good position. Within a week he got another offer with nice package but still the position was lower. But I know that Baba will take care of this too. I and my husband went Shirdi to thank Baba. I would say Shraddha and Saburi really works. One only needs to have trust in our Sai.

Babaji Saves Us

Last week there was torrential rain in my state (Kerala) and I prayed to Babaji that if this rain stopped I would post my experience here and believe it or not, the rain subsided the next day itself and completely stopped. Babaji does control the 5 elements like mentioned in the Sai Satcharithra. Om Sairamji Om Sairamji Om Sairamji. Let Babaji’s Grace Engulf The Whole Universe.
