Sai Baba, My Saviour

I am from Malaysia and currently working in Singapore. I came to study my postgraduate studies in Singapore since 2008 and finished it by Baba’s grace in 2013. I started believing and praying to our Lord Baba since middle of 2012 a couple of months after my father passed away (Although i have His Picture in my room 1-2 years earlier). I just saw your blog around 2014 and now am a regular follower. Thank you again Hetal Ji and team for administration of this wonderful blog, for always inspiring all devotees. Let me begin with how Sai Baba came to my life and how He is now my everything. I came to Singapore in 2008 to further my studies. My research was not going very well and I was facing a lot of failures. My parents saw an astrologer around 2010 or 2011 who recommended us to pray to Shirdi Sai Baba. However, before that we were praying to Sathya Sai Baba.

When I came to Singapore in 2008, i had with me a small photo of Sathya Sai Baba. When, the astrologer mentioned about praying to Lord Shirdi Baba, immediately my father and I went to purchase Lord Shirdi Sai Baba’s Photo for me to bring to Singapore. I was thinking to get a small one, since I already have Sathya Sai’s photo. But Lord Shirdi Sai Baba had other plans, and my father obtained for me a much bigger photo of Lord Shirdi Sai Baba. Although Baba’s photo was with me, I did not really pray to Him, but my father always mentioned about His power. I read online about Lord Shirdi Baba, but was not really devoted to Him. In fact, in my prayer corner in my room, here in Singapore, His photo was the biggest compared to other Gods, but I really ignored Him. In November 2011, my beloved grandmother passed away and 5 months later my beloved father passed away in April 2012. My research was really going bad and I could not comfort my mother who needed much strength, as my only sister is not really well and my mother had to take care of her alone. My mother’s only sister and her daughter (my cousin) introduced my mother to Shirdi Sai Baba and brought her to His Sansthan near our place. Having lost her husband and mother, my mother was not supposed to go to temples for few months. But, she had to go, to pray, especially for my sister (who has been suffering for 20 years). Lord Shirdi Baba’s Sansthan was therefore the most suitable place for her.

One day, when i went back to my hometown, I also accompanied my mother and felt very peaceful there and felt happy that my mother was happy and wished I had opportunity to visit His Sansthan in Singapore. The very next week, I was guided to His Sansthan, which happened to be on the 2nd floor of a temple which i frequently went. Although i went quite often to that temple, i never thought Baba’s Sansthan was there, although i have seen His picture on the window from outside. It was only when I yearned to go there (at that time in June 2012), that Baba brought me there. It happened that one aunty, who was a close friend of my aunt, wanted to meet me at that temple. After praying, she suddenly told me, let’s go up and see Baba, and brought me along with her to see Baba upstairs. It seemed so easy to reach Baba and I never knew why I couldn’t go earlier. Upon seeing Baba, the feeling was so amazing and great. I instantly got attached to Baba, so magically, that to me, He became my all in all. When I went home, i realised Baba had come earlier (through my father and the astrologer’s advice) to welcome me in the form of His picture, which I had only then, begun to appreciate. I don’t know why, but Lord Shirdi Baba, is truly a divine incarnation, who protects and guides, and the attachment and love I feel for Him cannot be compared to my early years of praying.

As soon as I got to know the Shirdi Sansthan in Singapore, i immediately started going there often to pray. In fact, on Thursdays, everyone will be singing Aarti and the atmosphere is really spiritual and nice. As I was in a bad situation in my research for my studies (my scholarship ended in August 2012), and I had to self-pay after that, i was very worried. In fact, I already extended 1 semester (Aug-Dec 2012) and took loan to extend another semester (10th semester). In that 10th semester, which had to be my last, as i had no more money, i had no choice but to rely on Lord Baba. My fathers’ 1 year death anniversary (according to Hindu calendar calculation) was on 29th March 2013, and i desperately wanted to finish my studies by then, as I also could get back half semester fees. When I started praying to Lord Baba (around June 2012), one of my experiment started working well and i managed to get 1 publication. I needed 3 more. Around after that time, i started Sai Vrat for 9 weeks as advised by my mother. I managed to get 1 more publication. In January 2013, after taking loan and paying for my 10th semester fees, I repeated Sai Vrat for another 9 weeks. At that last week, on the final Thursday after Udyapan, I had a wonderful news that another manuscript had good comments and was partially accepted. As for the 4th experiment, the results suddenly worked well, and by Baba’s grace, i could write that out as a paper.

My supervisor, who used to insist that all my research results get published, had a change of mind and asked me to submit my thesis as soon as possible. By Lord Baba’s grace, in that 1 and half semester that I begin to know and pray Him sincerely, he accomplished my research which I totally failed to do for the 4 years previously and on the day before my father’s prayer anniversary (which was a Thursday, March 28, 2013), my thesis was officially submitted by Baba’s grace. It was just what I had longed for. Initially I was sad that my father passed away before seeing me complete my studies, but I then realised that he is probably with our Lord Baba, watching and guiding me from above. Next I will post other miraculous experiences with our Lord Baba. My sincere wish for all devotees, to please have Shraddha and Saburi at all times. Our Holy Father will guide us through all calamities and He is there for us. Lord, please bless all Your devotees. Jai Sai Ram.

I would like to continue on the events that took place after I know Baba who After submitting my thesis in March 2013, I applied to work for my supervisor, but he did not get any project until July 2013. So, I officially started to work for him in August 2013 on a 1 year contract. Around June 2013, my aunty who is my mother’s only sister, passed away on a trip to Sri Lanka. My mother was very sad, as only the year before in 2012, my father passed away, and in 2011, my grandmother (mother’s side) passed away. As my sister was not well for the past 20 years, we could not maintain good relationships with all our relatives, and my aunty and her daughter were the closest relatives we had. Lord Baba is very kind, because if I had obtained the project earlier, I could not have brought my sister to go to the Aunty’s funeral in Sri Lanka, since my mother could not travel that time due to some issues. At least our cousin (who does not understand my sister’s mental state) felt comforted that we came for the funeral. If this did not happen, our family relationship would have been further strained. Anyway, after that I worked for the project with my supervisor. After 6 months, I applied for Singapore permanent residency (PR). Due to my sister’s situation, my mother and late father wanted me to be away in Singapore, as they felt I could at least try to survive and lead a normal life.

My contract was ending in 9 Aug 2014. I was granted temporary approval of PR and can only collect my PR card in September. However, this was on condition that I am still working for the same job during the time of PR application. (The company should endorse the form maximum 2 weeks before the PR collection in September. Here, our Lord Baba, again shows His miracles. Suddenly, my friend checked his project’s budget and found that they had enough money to hire manpower for 3 more months, and my supervisor was happy to approve me to work for that project for 3 more months (In fact, I had a lot of work to finish up also from my previous project). On 4 Aug 2014, we submitted the application, and by Lord Baba’s grace and only His grace, all parties approved and my employment pass got extended in the same place (in fact, the officer of the agency who funded the project was supposed to soon go on leave at that time). Therefore, by Baba’s grace, I was eligible to get my PR and I obtained it on 9 Sept. 2014. Indeed, dear devotees, just have faith and trust in the Lord, He will protect all. You see, this PR was very important to me, as without it I would have had to leave Singapore, and it will be difficult to go back due to my family situation. In addition, as my contract officially ended after that in November 2014, I needed a valid pass to stay here (as it was another 9 months before I found another job, this miracle of Baba, I will share in another experience). So devotees, the Lord will not give us something we cannot handle, as He is always there for us. Keep faith, you will be blessed by our beloved Lord Baba.

My Sweet Baba

Anonymous Devotee from US says: I am a small Devotee of Sai Baba but miracles done by my Baba on my family are large. This is my second post and am a regular reader of this blog. This blog essentially has been my to go place when in happiness, in doubt, sadness, confusion. Many a times, I have found my answers while reading a post or sometimes even in the comments section. So many thanks for managing this blog and helping people in an emotional front. My son is 10 years old and is special needs kid. Even though he is exceptionally smart, his social skills are very lacking. So he does not have any friends. I was very upset about it but just praying to Baba about it. It so happened that he enjoyed a particular class in which he was very interested. I had enrolled him in it. There were 7 kids and all of them were playing but as usual they did not want play with him and some sort of misunderstanding developed. I thought that may be due to my son’s behaviour this misunderstanding has developed and decided to quit the class without talking and discussing with any parents about what the real issue was. (I have been through few situations like this so did not want to talk to everybody and make them understand etc). I always pray to Baba even for the smallest thing and I told Him You solve it. I am already tired handling everything. You have to make it alright because my son truly loves this class and I do not want to stop it even if he is at fault as many things are not under his control due to his disability. Coincidentally I met a parent and she assured me that my son was doing very well and that the problem was with somebody else. Thank You Baba for listening to me. I know it is a very small thing but believe me for us with special needs kids it is a big deal to get them adjusted to everything and also to make them feel accepted.

Another experience was my husband was travelling to India and I was not particularly happy about being alone during severe winter but again left it to Baba and told Him that either Baba stops my husband from travelling or to give me enough strength to deal with the long absence. My faith in Baba has always been immense. I just leave it to Him and believe me every time Baba has proved that my devotion to Him is not in vain. Just few days before my husband’s departure to India we lost an expensive item in our house. We were recently renovating our house and had workers all over our house so we thought they have stolen it. This scared my husband and he started securing our house. But still he was worried about leaving us alone. Then he decided to cancel his ticket and within few hours we got our expensive item which was actually under our sofa which had a small wooden box underneath which we never saw. I do not know how it happened to be there and I have searched my house zillion times for the item we never got it but just after my husband cancelled the ticket we got it.

My husband kept telling me that I know Your Baba has only done it because He always listens to your prayers. I remembered then that I had asked Baba in QA book about some problem in that the answer Baba gave was somebody will do something in mistake but it will benefit you and will solve your problem. Baba’s blessings are there. At that time I did not take it seriously because the answer seemed unrelated to my question. But now I understood that it was my Baba who is behind everything. My request to you all is please have utmost faith in Him and give your complete devotion because He will never leave your hand. Once you have left it to Him, He surely takes care of all your problems. But for that our complete faith in Him is needed. Just stick to Him and see the miracles unfold in your life.

Sai Baba Blessings

Anonymous Devotee from India says: In 2012, i was going through a lot of personal problems in life. That was the time, my family had tremendous faith in Sai and planned for a Shiridi trip taking Sai’s permission. Sai Baba called us immediately to Shiridi. I was very much depressed about the problems but at the same time i was comforted by the belief i had in Sai. We went to the early morning Darshan and i prayed that i get place near to Sai. To my surprise all my family members were very near to Samadhi praying the Aarti. During the Aarti time, suddenly my concentration was off and i started thinking about my problems and was praying Sai to help me out. Then after sometime, i started feeling giddy because i was standing for about one hour or so in a queue which had lot of people. Soon i felt i am going to faint. Somehow my subconscious said to me to sit down in the queue for a minute. I sat down and i thought as i am in Sai Mandir, why am i thinking about problems without just praying through Aarti songs. I started concentrating again on Aarti songs. Surprisingly the next second i was feeling okay and i stood up. There was no need of water or anymore rest and i could just concentrate on Baba. Finally when Aarti got over, the line moved forward and i went in front of Samadhi, then a security guard asked me to stand beside. I did not understand for a second why he asked me to stand beside. But i took that opportunity to look at Baba and concentrate on His divine presence.

Dear devotees this is a miracle, i was there standing in front of His Samadhi for about 10 minutes and no officials have objected even though the rush was there. Also please note that i did not even request any official to make me stand there, just it happened that no one noticed me for that 10 minute. During that 10 minute, i could hear Baba say that concentrate on me, have faith forget everything. After that 10 minute, i was thankful from my bottom of my heart to the security person who pulled me aside and made me stand for 10 minute. Obviously he was a devotee of Sai and Sai showed His divinity through him. Dear devotees, by this incident i could understand that Baba wanted to convey that He was with me and i just need to look at Him, memorise Him always and leave aside sorrows. As He indicated, in a few days time few of my troubles got resolved. Thank You very much Sai for making me believe that You are there with us. You give confidence to Your devotees in Your unique ways. May everyone of us have that never ending faith in Him. Dear Sai please provide us power to endure our sorrows by concentrating on You. Sai Ram Is Everything To Us

This is definitely instant boost of positive energy when people like me are low and depressed. Keep going, hope this will reach all the people around globe increase the beliefs. I am residing in USA with my husband and kids. I am staunch devotee of my Deva. He came in Kalyug to care of helpless people like us. I have lots of experience in my day to day life. As I said, lots of small miracles happened in our life. Even if it is small silly wish, Sainath will fulfil. My first experience is, we had joined our 4 year old son to soccer in fall season. Here he was very cranky and didn’t go on the first day. He cried a Lot in front of everybody that he don’t want to go and play, I prayed to Baba to calm him down and agree to go and play. From 2nd day, he was cool and went and played and was enjoying. Thank You so much Sai Baba.

Second Experience is, my husband everyday picks up my son from school at 1.30 and finishes his lunch go back to office, one day it was 2.30 and he didn’t come home and also didn’t pick the phone call, I was really tensed and prayed to Baba make him pick the call, immediately he picked the call said he is on the way. Once, There was new year party in friends place and we were invited to their place. We didn’t want to go because this year we wanted to be with family to celebrate and we didn’t know how to tell them. I prayed Baba that there should not be any misunderstanding and we have convey them about our plans. Baba made situation where everything was fine. One more delightful experience is I prayed to Baba about visa and other issues with my husband’s job and prayed Baba to give Darshan in green dress if our wishes are fulfilled. I was continuously checking FB and at last I got Darshan of Baba in complete green dress, seeing that beautiful picture my joy have no bound, I have complete faith that Baba will fulfil our dreams. Sai Baba’s Miracle

Anonymous Devotee from India says: Jai Sai Ram. This is the first time I am sharing my experience. Thanks to this forum for sharing people’s experience and giving others a ray of hope. I was going through a divorce during which I had been through a lot of health issues. It seemed like i would never get out of these problems. I was not getting the divorce either as the guys family were acting very cunning. I have known Sai Baba since childhood but lately during this period I was introduced to Him again by an aunt of mine. Like every other person, i had my own questions in mind and because it was such a tough period for me. Then i Google and read about experiences of different people from different places in the world and how they have had miracles. Due to deficiency i had been getting ulcers and i could literally not eat anything or even talk properly. I had given up and became so depressed. I had read about people reading Sai Satcharitra and so i started it. I was amazed how after i finished the Sai Satcharitra week reading my ulcers started reducing. I could again start eating and talking like everyone. I am really thankful to Sai Baba for giving me His blessings. Sai Baba’s Blessings For Our Daughter

I always felt that my daughter is a gifted kid, and want to encourage her in proper direction with her abilities. I used to pray Baba that please guide her good path. In my daughter’s school they have a gifted program where exceptionally gifted and talented kids are placed. I contacted my daughter’s teacher for my daughter to take the gifted test. By Baba’s grace she got selected and placed in Gifted program. I am very thankful to Baba from my bottom of my heart.
