A Couple of Sai Baba Experiences – Part 709

Sai Sister Neeta from India says: Every year after our children’s exam gets over in summer, we go to Shirdi. Last year also we booked a bus and a hotel too. Our bus was late that day and instead of morning 6 am, we reached Shirdi by 9.30am. As it was already late, we (myself, my husband, my two sons and my sister-in laws son) quickly had our bath and went for Baba’s Darshan. It’s our belief that after Darshan only we take any tea or Tiffin. As we reached the Temple after purchasing Prasad and all for Baba, it was already 10.30am.

That day it was rush and we too went and stand in the queue. It seemed as if the line was not moving ahead. After reaching half the way, the queue was stopped as it was time for afternoon Aarti. It was already 11.30am and we didn’t have anything since last night dinner. I was feeling very weak and tired. In my frustration i thought that every year we are coming here for Baba’s Darshan but what Baba has given us, why are we coming here and why should we come here. After Aarti, the queue again started and we had our Darshan. After coming out, we took the Vibhuti Prasad and I with my children sat down in the chabutra near Shani temple and my husband went to pay the donations.

Just then a man in orange clothes came near to us, he had that Sanstha’s badge also in his orange colour robe. He was carrying a big fresh garland of roses and some Prasad packets which were torn from one side. That whole place was filled with people, that person came to me and said that “i have brought Baba’s garland and Prasad for you”. I didn’t react because i thought that person will ask for money. Again he said that “this is the garland worn by Baba and i have come to give it to you, people can do anything to get this garland and Prasad and i am giving it to you and you are not taking it” I don’t know what happened to me, i took those garland and Prasad and after giving it to me that man went away. I am very lucky to have Baba’s Aashirwad but i am very sorry Baba i did not recognize You, please forgive me. Please give me one more chance to have Your blessings. Even today also i feel bad that why i didn’t took the blessings of that man who gave me garland and Prasad–he was Baba himself, who came to wash out all my doubts for Him. Love You Baba. Om Sai Ram

Sai Baba Listens To Our Thoughts

Anonymous Devotee from India says: I’m a Sai devotee. I’m waiting to go Shirdi. Baba knows when to take me to His place. I heartily thank you for such a wonderful platform to share devotee’s experience. I humbly request not to disclose my name and email address. I came to know about Shirdi Sai Baba during my college second year, but then I was not a devotee of Baba. My roommate senior was Baba’s devotee. At the end of my second year college, I got a chance to go Shirdi Sai Baba Temple at Injambakkam, Chennai. I just prayed and came. Our Sai, the soul of love and blessings has included me as one of His children. From then I got many chances to realise the presence of Baba. Here I wish to share one such beautiful experience which happened recently.

This year on Ramanavami, I was blessed because I got a chance to go Injambakkam Baba temple. I used to take many of friends as their first visit to this temple. I entered temple at 7:10pm. Usually Aarti ends before 7pm. I prayed Lord Ganesha and other Hindu Gods, had Darshan of thathathreya and walking towards main domb. Before we have Darshan of Sai, we could see Baba’s dress colour. It was light green in front of me other Sai devotee who wore the exact colour dress was going. I was thinking that she should be happy seeing Baba. Before I enter there is a place to light candle lamps for Baba. I lighted the lamps and entered the main place, to my surprise they were going to start Aarti only then. Baba was in complete white dress. Over that they wore orange dress for Baba, which was my dress colour too. Literally tears came from my eyes. To be frank I didn’t even wish for it. I had good Darshan of Baba and came home happily. When you believe in Sai, He does miracle. People trust in Himself. Love You Baba. May the miracles of Baba touch every soul.

Sai Baba Presence

Anonymous Devotee from Malaysia says: i am a housewife with a lovely son. I have never been to Shirdi and wish to visit Baba there. My son does a simple Abhishekam for 9 Thursdays for Baba. We are His ardent devotees. As he will be sitting for an important exam this year, our constant prayers to Baba have been carried out daily. But at times when I feel down and low, I get back my spirit by reading Baba’s Miracles every now and then. But I do at times ask myself whether it will happen to me or am I being skeptical. This is when just last week as I was reading a testimony from a devotee residing in France claiming to feel the presence of Baba. I had the same thought if Baba could show His presence. No I am not testing but I was in depression and hopeless.

Baba please show Your presence to proof that You are with me watching over my problems. As I was going through my Facebook account there He showed up instantly in the form that came to my mind Gold plated (orange Baba). Well it is just a coincidence I thought. But later that night as I was watching TV alone at home, miracle took place. Baba’s formation appeared on a doormat. I mean I did saw Baba. I took pictures of it and showed to my husband and son. I asked them what did they saw and they spontaneously replied Shirdi Sai Baba! Baba is here again to convince me that He is here with me. Thank You Baba. I am truly great full to You, Baba.   5. A JOURNEY THROUGH FAITH

    One becomes speechless with awe before the immensely magnificent spiritual statue of Shri Sai Baba. The experience Of the grace of Sri Shiridi Sai Baba is transcendental, yet at the same time we see concrete signs and examples of the immor­tal all pervading presence. He is, as Arthur Osborne says ''The Incredible Sai Baba. “It is really not possible to describe the bestowal of grace of Baba. At best, we can tell each other little or big events from our lives”.

    For me, the experiences have only just begun. Even then, they are numerous. But I must begin with the intention of my first visit to Shiridi on Dussehra Occasion in October 1986. Only a year ago (ie in 1985) I had come to know about Sai Baba and the knowledge of this Heavenly Father genera­ted such deep love in me for Him that I wanted to visit Shiridi as soon as possible. I prayed that if at all, I should reach Shiridi on a Thursday, and that too, for His Samadhi day celebrations. I found myself in Shiridi on a Thursday, about four days previous to Dussehra day. And this visit was an unplanned one (though I had an intention) and curiously I was not required to meet the expenses for the trip as well. Baba has arranged it at His will I I was then jobless and I prayed to Baba for a job. As we returned from Shiridi, somebody on train told us that we would come again to Shiridi undoubtedly since everyone finds a solution for his problems there (at Shiridi). So far for me it was only a fairy tale. This prophecy came true when I came down from my place Gangotri to Shiridi in May 1987, on my way to Pune, where I had been offered a job. It is wonderful to note that the application was dated April 23rd, 1987 which was a Thursday. Previous to this, the written test for this job had been held on a Thursday itself, that too, near the Sai Temple on the Lodhi Road in New Delhi. During my interview for the job, after qualifying the written test, I was questioned about my choice to Pune. When I answered that Pune through 2000 Kms. from my parental home, had been my choice because it was so near to Shiridi. Then the interview turned into a happy informal talk about the beginnings of my faith in Sai Baba.

    Calendar wise, the history of my faith in Baba is only about two years old. Yet when I read more and more about Baba my faith is confirmed in the Rinanubandha that must have with Baba. I was surprised to read in Dada Saheb Kaparde's diary "that Baba once said to Dada Saheb Kapaede that that previously He (i.e Baba) was Kabir and used to weave cloth. I was moved with deep feelings to read and was sur­prised also because I have had a strange fascination for the poet KABIR. Not only this, but Baba fully satisfies my old-old belief in the catholicity of all religions and also provides me—as all of us—with the practical exposition of the scriptures.

    It is still too early to disclose my other experiences and if time and occasion permitting with Baba's grace, I hope to lay them before the world some day.

  20. Dear Hetal Ji

    I started my First 9 Guru vart with a wish in my mind. So i decided not to eat and drink till evening, though i have the habit of fasting till evening but i dont know i really felt hungry so i ate 3 roti's and drank a glass of water in afternoon 3 pm. After eating i really felt i did wrong. I m sorry BABA plz excuse me BABA .

    Now should i count this thursday or should i start from counting from next thursday..
    plz asnwer me Hetal ji im in need …..

    • Please, Baba never encouraged fasting. Fasting really refers to the mind. Try to keep your mind on baba namasmaran and avoid all other thoughts. om sri sai ram.

    • Dear Devotee,

      1st of all being a sai bakhta you are not suppose to fast. Even if you are fasting,make sure you are NEVER empty stomach. You can take milk,fruits,lunch/dinner OR both.

    • Hi Preeti ji,
      I just started to read the Sai navguruvar vrat katha yesterday and thought i should do it every thursday for nine thursdays. For some reasons i cannot fast completely and do the pooja traditionally and was feeling bad that baba i am reading the katha but i cant do the pooja as per the process , But see my beloved baba's leela he has got you and the other Sai devotee to answer today – its ok to eat , not fast completely and keep your mind on namsaram. That is exactly what i was doing yesterday.

      I don't know if Baba will bless me for this but your messages have already shown me he is there listening to me and i am happy with that.

  23. A Short Biography of Shree Swami Samarth
    *****Darshan of Lord Rama*****
    Sitarampant Nene of Garod village was a devotee of Lord Rama. He would carry
    out rigorous worship to get Lord Ramchandra’s ‘Darshan’. Once he came to Akkalkot.
    He took Sri Swamiji ‘Darshan’ and felt fully contented. He felt as though he had the
    ‘Darshan’ of Lord Rama. Therefore, he remained in Akkalkot and started rendering
    devotional service to Sri Swamiji. One afternoon Sri Swamiji manifested himself as Lord
    Rama and graced the ‘Darshan’ to Sitarampant Nene, thus clearing his mental agony,
    Sitarampant Nene, returned home with continuous shouts of victory regarding Sri
    Swamiji.

    *****Darshan of Goddess Mahalaxmi*****
    In Sangli, Maharashtra, there was a saint named Hanamantarao Kotnis Maharaj
    of Chimad religions sect, who initiated and continued the tradition of non-stop
    devotional singing. Even today the tradition of devotional singing is being continued.
    He had been to Akkalkot for the ‘Darshan’ of Sri Swamiji. He paid his obeisance
    to Sri Swamiji with a standing posture and said “Maharaj, please forgive me. I cannot
    pay my obeisance by prostrating at your lotus feet as I have already resolved that I
    shall only prostrate reverentially at the lotus feet of my family deity Mahalaxmi”. To
    this, Sri Swamiji smiled and said, “Goddess Mahalaxmi, appears like this, is it not? ”. So
    saying Sri Swamiji manifested himself in the form of Goddess Mahalaxmi. Kotnis
    Maharaj prostrated reverentially at the lotus feet of Goddess Mahalaxmi and paid his
    obeisance. Then Sri Swamiji said, “Do not maintain the sentiments of diversity. By the
    resolution based on this sentiment, you will have to undergo crisis of agony”.
    Even today at Sangli, in the Muth of Saint Kotnis Maharaj Sri Swamiji is being
    worshipped in the form of Goddess Mahalaxmi.
