Sai Baba Experiences – Anonymous Sai Devotee

Anonymous Devotee says: I am a simple devotee of Baba for many years now. I have experienced many Leelas of Baba and would like to share another experience we went through this time when we were in India. We were traveling to India and I was traveling after a very long time (5 years). All these years I was postponing with one or the other reason and visa being the primary reason. My US visa had expired and I did not want to take a chance to go to India for stamping. But I guess the time had come for me in Nov 2013. So we made up our minds and decided to visit India and go to Chennai for our visa stamping. I and my wife went to Chennai. I was praying to Baba all this time to make the process smooth and easy. The previous evening we finished the finger printing and the next day morning was the Visa interview. When we came out of the hotel in the morning, there was a tourist bus standing in front of the hotel. There was a picture of Baba on the glass wind shield of the bus. I felt very happy and took it as a good sign and sign of success. After we entered the consulate, our turn came at some point and we were asked few questions. After about 5 minutes, we were granted the visa. We felt very happy and Thankful to Baba.

Normally people get only about 4-5 weeks of vacation but I was lucky and blessed by Baba that I was able to get 7 weeks ( I had to work for few weeks in between but I could stay in India for 7 weeks which is a great thing). Also, my company had paid for my air ticket as well. All this could not have happened without Baba’s grace. The journey was also good and we did not have any issues. The whole India trip was very good except for only one thing. I had desired so much to visit Shirdi and had full hopes that Baba will call me. I had so much desire since I was visiting India after 5 years. But for some reason it never happened. Not sure what was my mistake but Baba did not bless me with Shirdi Darshan. I had to be content with a visit to a local Baba temple. I just hope that Baba will call me soon.

Baba, I know for sure that I have committed mistakes in the past and keep doing it each day of my life. But Baba, please guide me in the right path and give me wisdom to not commit anything bad and lead me on the right path. Baba, as you know I am currently doing 9 Thursdays Sai Vrat. Please bless me and let me finish the Vrat without any hindrances. Baba, my primary request is to grant me good behaviour, maturity, sharp mind and good health to both my sons and to my wife. We are really concerned about our elder son’s activities and behaviour. He is close to 8 years and we feel he is still not grown up to his age. He still acts like a younger age child. I know each child is different but we want him to at least grow up to his age and behave accordingly. Please Baba, have Your Blessing hand on him always and on our family.

Baba, I also have a material wish. As you know, we were looking for a property to buy in India but for some or the other reason nothing is working out. I very well know that without Your Blessings, not even a leaf can move. My only request is to guide me and give me whatever is good for us. Baba, we have also been looking for a bigger home to move into here in the USA. For some reason even that is not working out. We are not even looking to buy it but for rental but even that is not happening. Baba, You know what I have in mind and I hope that You will fulfil that. Baba, also my brother’s wife is not feeling well. You know everything Baba. Baba, please cure her physical and mental maladies and make her become normal again. She is in lot of pain and agony Baba. Also, please do take care of our parents and in laws Baba. My parents are in a lot of distress because of my brother and issues with my brother’s wife. Please give them peace of mind Baba and strength to go through the rough phase Baba. My mother has been having leg pain for many years now. She has tried lots of medications but nothing has helped completely. Please give her some relief Baba and reduce the pain so that she can walk around normally.

Baba, I have realized that I should not wish for any social recognition/status but seek only God’s recognition. But sometimes I do get disappointed about my career path Baba. Please show me good progress and help me to succeed Baba. Without Your grace nothing can happen. Our Green card process is also stuck and is not progressing Baba. I sincerely request and beg You to get our EADs this year Baba as it is very important for us. Please bless me with knowledge and wisdom and courage to face and confront risks and challenges in both career and in life. Please bless us Baba and always confer Your Blessings on us.

  3. An Astonishing Experience

    "The Lord who dwells in the hearts of all, in Him seek refuge with all thy soul. By His grace then thou shall obtain supreme repose, the eternal seat." (Bhagavad-Gita)

    Direct spiritual experience is a psychological state, inde­pendent of the metaphysical doctrine which may be derived from the experience. The reality of the experience in not affected by the metaphysical doctrine inferred from it. Yet the experience has a cognitive value. It involves a certain metaphy­sical conception of the nature of Sai Baba, Radhakrishna Swamiji, the human soul and the world and also a certain way of attaining union with the Absolute.

    On the 8th August 1990, I was going through a Tamil magazine MANGAYAR MALAR-July, 90 and came across an article about a Venkateswara temple in Banashankari Second stage – Varaprada Venkateswara Temple of Devagiri. In the article it was stated that when the idols were getting ready, Sai Baba appeared in the form of an old man to His Holiness Radhakrishna Swamiji and told him: "I have come to Bangalore. Come and have my darshan."

    Subsequently I learnt that this temple has very close connection with Shirdi Sai Baba and a divine aura is present there. Radhakrishna Swamiji laid the foundation stone for this temple and his portrait adorns the sanctum now. Swamiji's intimate devotees on every 'Sankranti' day visit this temple in a procession chanting Vishnu Sahasra Namam and perform 'archana' to Lord Venkatesha in the name of Sri Radhakrishna Swamiji.

    I can only conclude this experience with a quote from Garuda Purana:

    "Lost is this world which, out of Thy Maya is mad with pride, deaf, blind and by acquisition of wealth, insensible ever towards the needy and the venerable.

    Lord! Bestow not on me great wealth lest it prove an obstacle to Thy lotus feet. But grant me always the company of great souls who can explain to me Thy real attributes."

    37. Svayambhūḥ: One who exists by Himself, uncaused by any
    other.

  11. A Short Biography of Shree Swami Samarth
    *****Peasant’s Bull*****
    In Akkalkot a peasant’s buffalo got very much frightened due to some reason. It
    went and stood on a well. No one was able to catch it all day long. The bull would attack
    anyone who came near it. Therefore, the peasant went to Sri Swamiji and prayed for
    help. Sri Swamiji spoke to him “Your bull does not allow anybody to catch it. If you do,
    it attacks you with horns. Is it not? ”. Then Sri Swamiji got up, went up to the bull, and
    caught hold of its ear. The bull started following Sri Swamiji like a she-goat. From then
    onwards, the bull never repeated this mischief.

    *****Startled Elephant*****
    In Mumbai, there was a very senior government officer named Vinayak Vasudeo
    alias Kakasaheb. Very often he would visit Akkalkot to take Sri Swamiji’s ‘Darshan’.
    Once he came along with one hundred fifty people and got down at the kadapgam
    station. Since Kakasaheb was a very senior officer of the British government, the then
    king of Akkalkot, Rajasaheb had deputed elephants, horses, palanquins etc. along with
    his officers, in the service of Kakasaheb. Kakasaheb started his return journey after
    rendering devotional service unto Sri Swamiji for four days. Bidding him farewell Sri
    Swamiji said “Hurry up, Hurry up”. Kakasaheb had already sent everybody ahead to the
    station. He was the only one left behind.
    When he left in a hurry as per Sri Swamiji command, he went and saw that a
    calamity had befallen at the train station. The loud whistle of the train had startled on
    of the elephants and he sat on the street itself refusing to move ahead. Children had
    sat on the canopied seat on the elephant. Seeing this situation, Kakasaheb became very
    distressed. He remembered Sri Swamiji and called for help. By the kind grace of Sri
    Swamiji the elephant stood up and started moving ahead towards the station. Thus the
    calamity was over.

  16. I just want to share my experience. It started like this we lost very important papers and could not find it it was more than 3 months we were looking for the papers. Last week i asked baba where could the paper be i put 4 chits in front of him with names of places it could be and i picked one chit , I asked my relative to look for the papers in there house and they looked for almost a week and could not find it, I was in dilemma. Last night I told Sainath what is it you doing with me why all troubles for me, yesterday something bad happened to me and I was really upset. Guess what my relative got papers in same house where Sai Baba told me.Thanks a lot Sainath.
    I promised Baba as soon as I get the papers I will share my experience here.I read this blog everyday.Indeed this blog is faith booster.Thanks Hetal ji.
