From An Average Student To A Topper-Because Of Sai Baba ji

Anonymous Devotee from India says: All that I am and all that I will be is because of our great Sai Baba. To know Sai Baba and His love for His children is like knowing the mighty ocean. There is nothing that Baba can’t do and there is nobody that Baba can’t help. But for Him to take control of us, His children, He needs only our sincerest devotion. I am rather temperamental person and this is my story of how Sai Baba made me a topper in my class from just an average student.

As a child, I have seen my sister visit the Sai Baba Mandir. I don’t remember how I first went to the Mandir, but I do remember it being very different from what little I had seen, earlier. The temple was large and not very crowded. There was this overpowering feeling of calm and peace that just took over. Years later, when I was about to take my board exams, I went to Baba’s Mandir. I prayed that He sort out the chaos in my head and help me concentrate and do well in my forthcoming exams. I passed first class, with an average score. But I knew there was a lot more that I could do.

Later, I joined college (one of the best in the city and country for the course that I had wanted to pursue). By this time I had a stronger bond with Baba and had started seeing His acts of magic, around me. In College, whenever I had an exam, submission (basically, anything important), I would pray to Baba and ask Him to give me His Darshan on my drive from home to college. I’d keep my eyes wide open and would search for Baba’s Picture. And lo! It would be right there. And this happened over the next 5 years. In those 5 years of College, I came out with flying colours, every time. This is when I learnt the most important lesson of my life, that one has to believe in one’s self and in that might power that is above us. Just because it ‘logically’ doesn’t make sense doesn’t mean it cannot or won’t happen. For miracles to happen we need to believe and there is no way it won’t happen.

A lot of time has passed and a lot has changed since then. I have encountered some very intense situations, extremely complex and that have at some level messed up my balance. But by sharing this experience of mine with Sai Baba, it only reaffirmed my faith and given me an opportunity to surrender to the almighty Sai Baba. I know for sure that Baba will walk me through all of life’s challenges. I know I will pass yet again with flying colours because of Sai Baba’s grace. I know I will find my balance, yet again and come out stronger because of Sai Baba’s blessing. May Baba always be with each and all. May Baba guide us and make us His instruments to truly make this world a better place to live. Om Sri Sai

Baba Helped My Friends

I have been reading “Satcharitra” from my engineering second year. During second year exams I prayed to Baba that if I cleared all my subjects I will start Satcharitra Parayanam. Due to Baba’s blessings I cleared all my subjects, from then onwards I used to do Parayanam after every semester exams. I used to do Parayanam whenever I not having mental peace. After reading Parayanam I feel very happy and I believe that it has the power to relieve our problems. After my marriage I came to U.S with my husband and we faced some problems then I prayed to Baba and started Parayanam, to my surprise that problem got solved after completion of my Parayanam.

One of my husband’s friend was not having job from two months and he was desperately searching for job. Then one day I told him about Satcharitra Parayanam and he started reading it. To everyone’s surprise he got job one day before completion of Parayanam. He said he is very thankful to Baba because of Baba only he got that job. Similarly one of my friend’s husband was also searching for job from two months. I told her last month to do Parayanam and she did it, but her husband did not get job. She did Parayanam this month also and her husband got selected in one company that too on Thursday. She was very happy and told me that Baba saved them. Sai Baba-My Saviour

Anonymous Devotee from India says: I am 20 years old residing in Mumbai. I had posted my experience later last year. This is my second experience. Thank You Sai Baba, for whatever You have given us. My brother is abroad and he wanted to purchase some property in Mumbai. After searching everywhere we got one residential property for a good price. All the formalities and payment were completed in due time. I asked Baba through question and answers and He told there will be some problem. I neglected the thought. On the day for getting the keys we found out the building did not have occupancy certificate. So it was considered illegal. We all got tensed up, also the seller did not give us the things he promised. I cried a lot and asked Baba why He was doing this since we hadn’t done anything wrong. Again in the question and answer site I asked Baba and He told Remember Shree Sai, everything will be solved. I kept on chanting Baba’s name. Finally after some days the seller gave us the additional equipments. Also it has been to our knowledge that the society has been applying for the OC which will be granted soon. Om Sai Ram. Thank You God. Without You we will be nothing.

    Can any one believe that an ordinary middle class family could dream of constructing a Sai Baba Mandir ? This becomes truth when Shri Sai Baba’s divine grace fall on our desires which are fulfilled effortlessly. Our dream was cherished in the shortest period of about five months. The idea came to our mind when I, along with my family, on our visit to Birla Mandir at Hyderabad, saw Lord Krishna’s Moorthi of about 3 feet in white marble well-placed in open, amidst a beautiful garden which attracted our attention. The idea struck in our mind to build a Sai Baba Mandir in our family Navagraha Temple premises at Secunderabad. Here the idea was planted in our minds and we started planning and were looking for an auspicious day to lay the foundation stone for constructing the temple.

    To my utter surprise it so happened that when I was just attending the counter in my scooter and motor cycle spare-parts shop, two customers came to my shop to buy some scooter parts, who happened to see Sai Baba’s ring, which I was wearing and asked me whether I was a Sai devotee. I just told them, yes and also told them, “I am planning to construct a Sai Baba Mandir and I am looking for an auspicious day for laying the foundation stone.” Immediately they told me that 9th December, 1982 was the most auspicious day and to my surprise they told me that they were also installing an idol of Shri Sai Baba at Malkajgiri. Then I and my wife thought, this to be an indication from Sai Baba and we decided and laid the foundation stone and the ceremony was a grand success. From then onwards the construction work went on without any hindrance and every one co-operated and the temple of 9’ x 12’ with half garden and half place as temple for Sai Baba Idol, to be installed on a pedestal, was constructed.

    Here, it will not be out of place to add that Shri Sai Baba’s grace was so much on us that we did not struggle or go out for anything as every thing came to our door when the work was in progress. This is evident from the fact that even the sculptor who happened to come to Hyderabad to attend the installation ceremony of Shri Sai Baba Idol at Malkajgiri happened to meet me and came to my house, took order for making the Sai Baba Idol and was so prompt in making the beautiful idol in time. It would be interesting for the devotees to know that the Sai Baba Moorthi was airlifted from Jaipur by one of our well wisher in Indian Air Lines and there was absolutely no problem till the Sai Baba’s Moorthi reached my door at Secunderabad. I am happy to say that Sai Baba had come Himself to my place as the ideas was also bestowed by Him on us and hence His grace was there throughout on us. Everything was done effortlessly and Dampathi Sansthapana was done on 15th May, 1983 in which several Dampathies and devotees took part in the pooja proceedings throughout and every thing went on so well by His divine grace that it is beyond one’s imagination.

    There is no need to say that the success was due to Shri Sai Baba’s divine grace and Baba’s temple has come up to bless all. Everyone of us is enjoying the heaven in the “Sai Temple” where one realizes the bliss of true happiness.

    We pray to Thy feet for making us instrumental to do such a sacred work. We are also thankful to the Court Receiver of Shri Sai Baba Sansthan, Shirdi, who acknowledged our invitation and conveyed Shri Sai Baba’s blessings.

  9. A Short Biography of Shree Swami Samarth
    *****Laxman Koli – Anand Bharati*****
    In Thane, Maharashtra, there was a boatman named Laxman Koli. There was a
    big storm and his ship started sinking in the sea. Laxman Koli was a great devotee of
    Sri Swamiji and he had come to Akkalkot 3 to 4 times. When the ship started tossing
    about, all the sailors became very nervous. Laxman Koli started calling upon Sri
    Swamiji for help “Akkalkot Nivasini Sri Swami Mai (Oh! My mother Sri Swamiji who is
    dwelling at Akkalkot), now please come here running. We are helpless. Our ship has
    started sinking”.
    When Laxman Koli was calling upon for help, here at Akkalkot Sri Swamiji
    suddenly stood up and lowered his right hand and then raised it. It appeared as though
    he had lifted a big load. Then he sat on his cot. At that time water started dripping
    down from his right hand. His disciples who were present there at the time tasted the
    dripping water and found it salty. They asked Sri Swamiji “Maharaj, your right hand was
    dripping salty water. Where did it come from? ”. Sri Swamiji answered “Have I not lifted
    a drowning ship from the sea? ”. None of the disciples could understand what is really
    meant. Here in the sea, the ship of Laxman Koli came up from the water as though
    somebody lifted it up using heavy force.
    The sailors brought the ship to seashore. Laxman Koli realised that this miracle
    has taken place only due to the kind mercy of Sri Swamiji. Then he came with his
    family to Akkalkot. There he told the disciples and devotees as to how the serious
    calamity was averted in the sea. The disciples realised that Sri Swamiji’s lifting action
    before and the time of the sinking ship occurred simultaneously. They started
    continuous shouts of victory in the praise of Sri Swamiji for this miraculous play.
    Laxman Koli was so much influenced by this miraculous incident that he
    abandoned everything in his life and devoted himself in the service of Sri
    Swamiji. Later on he became a fully accomplished person and came to be
    known as Anand-Bharati. His Samadhi46 is located near the temple of Lord
    Dattatrey in Thane, Maharashtra.

  24. Nice experiences! No matter what obstacles may come at us in life, Baba is always there ready to remove those obstacles which He knows we cannot remove. If it is something difficult and we feel why Baba isn't helping us, it is because Baba has already given us the faith and power to endure and remove such an obstacle ourselves so that we become stronger (just as a weight lifter becomes stronger by lifting more heavy things, so too do we become stronger by overcoming these bigger challenges in life). Om Sai Ram!
