My Shirdi Experience – Anonymous Devotee

Anonymous Devotee from India says: Sai Ram All. Hope everyone is fine. Hetal Ji, you are doing a great job. Please feel free to edit my post. Keep me anonymous. I want to share my experience with miracle trip of Shirdi. I am not a great devotee. But I love Baba as my soul. Baba pulled me towards Him. As He says wherever the devotee is, but pulled to Shirdi as a sparrow with string. I love Baba very much.

My mother believes in spiritual aspects. She used to teach me many things since childhood about God and how to pray, how to do puja, everything. Because of her effort I too got interested in spiritual aspects, but not deep as her. I came to know about Baba, when I was in school through one mysterious book. I don’t know how it came to me and how it got again. But I was really attracted about Baba on reading that book. No other book, which I really impressed like that book.



I became Baba devotee. While I was doing my B. Tech., I asked my parents many times that we can go for Shirdi. But we were unable to schedule a trip to Shirdi. I was very excited to go for Shirdi. My mother got a chance of going with some other devotees, but not as a family. I was waiting for my chance. By the end of 4-1 semester, I just causally asked my friends, “Can we plan for trip to Shirdi”, as we thought of taking a trip to somewhere. When I told about Shirdi plan, they readily accepted. I was shock that I thought, they won’t accept the idea. I felt happy for their positive response.

Among our batch, No one knew about Shirdi trip. No one knew how to go, where to stay in Shirdi, how much money needed to go Shirdi. Nothing we knew about it. We never went that much far distance till now. So we didn’t have any idea, but mentally fixed that we have to go at any cost. So we checked the calendar and fixed a date. We booked tickets once the finish of 4-1 semester exams; we planned for one 5 days trip. As per plan, we booked train tickets for going and return. We were excited that we don’t know where to stay in Shirdi. We talked with some elders and others friends about the trip. One of my classmate told that his father had some contacts in Shirdi, so we asked that weather there any possibility for book a room for us. My friend’s father helped us to book a room and that too not costly.

Finally the day came. We started by train. We started by Tuesday morning and reached the Shirdi on Wednesday morning. I still feel the feeling, the moment I entered into Shirdi. We were happy to reach Shirdi, as my one of my dream came true. I was so excited to take a Darshan of my beloved Baba. We even didn’t know Hindi, before getting down the train, how to manage in Shirdi without knowing language. But we stepped out of station the first thing I heard is people talking Telugu. We asked them about my room address and took the auto from station to the room. We got shocked that the people running that room were Telugu people, so we feel very comfortable. We refreshed our self and went to take the Darshan. 1st time, I felt so joy and happy in my life after seeing Baba. My whole body got excited, when I touched the Baba Samadhi. Baba looks very awesome. I felt that He was looking only me, when I was in the hall. I never wanted to come out of the hall. I thanked Baba for calling me to Shirdi. The people in Shirdi are so lucky.

One can feel the Baba in every air, every leaves, every plant, every sand, every inch in the Shirdi soil. We heard about Aarti. But I didn’t know which time we need to for attending Aarti. We got the Aarti timings and reached to the temple by that time. We came to know that if one want to attend the Aarti, they should come in advance and should stand in the queue. So we missed one Aarti. But at night again we went to attend Aarti. This time we were in time. We attended two to three Aarti, while in Shirdi. I saw one dog, which is coming exactly at the Aarti timings and sitting in the hall as we all sit in the hall and the dog leaving the hall by itself once Aarti was completed. I was so surprised to see the dog’s devotion. It was not disturbing anyone. It came silently sit in front of Baba and leaves the hall silently.

Baba arranged as a free food, once we entered into Shirdi till we reached my native place. We got good Darshan, Dwarakamai. But we were unable step inside as rope is tied across it. I felt very sad for it. We got a very good Darshan. I felt very happy to see Baba. He guided as in every step. Still we reach our homes back. While returning back in train we didn’t think about the food in train. We were hurry that we would miss the train, so we even didn’t think about the food. Once we got inside the train, it was around 10 o’clock. There was no possibility for us to buy anything to eat. So we thought that we have sleep tonight without any food. To get some food, we have to wait till the morning. But as we know Baba never let His children to sleep with empty stomach.

As we were sitting and talking among us about the trip and everything, a family, who was sitting besides us, was also telugu people. They are about to eat the dinner. So we got up ourselves so that they won’t feel uncomfortable for eating. But when we were about to go, they distributed plates for us also. They told that “we got more food, you can share with us”. We were dumbstruck by seeing them. Because they don’t know that weather we had dinner or not. They even asked our names, just casual talk. But they treated us as a family. While eating, they told many experience of their Shirdi trip, as they were going almost every year. They told the various changes made in Shirdi, etc. We were very happy for knowing many facts. Baba guided us in every step of the Shirdi trip. Without knowing any idea about Shirdi trip, we made it, no not we, it’s Baba. Baba made us a good trip that to with very very low cost. Baba, please be with us every moment in the life. I love You Baba. Om Sai Sri Sai Jaya Jaya Sai.

    What is happening to me Baba, looks like my EAD is getting late again.
    I know I did something wrong that's why I am suffering like this.
    I am just scared of facing problems and I am coward.

    Everyday I am dying with my fear even though I am alive.
    I know this is all my past karma, again I am worried about facing my karma Baba.

    • You are asking Baba to forgive you for your mistake and yet again doing another mistake by thinking of ending your life. Baba gifted us this life, that is so beautiful and if not then we can try to make it beautiful. Baba will be really happy when he sees every one happy and enjoying things that he had bestowed upon us. Who is not having problem today!!!! Everyone is suffering. But if everyone will start thinking of dying then what is going to happen to this world. Could you have ever tolerated if some one who is very close to your heart says something you said!!! Then think what baba must be undergoing. Initially I was also thinking like you. But with time I understood this much.Promise to baba that you would never think of dying again.May baba bless you with a happy life.

  40. Very nice Shirdi trip experience! Even though you didn't know when you would go to Shirdi, Baba knew when to call you and arranged a wonderful Shirdi trip for you. Baba also made sure you didn't leave hungry and very nicely arranged for you to have food with that other group travelling. Om Sai Ram!
