Shirdi Sai Saved My Mother – Anonymous Devotee

It gives me great strength and strong faith in Sainath Maharaaj when I go through all devotees experiences. Here is one of my great miraculous experiences, which we experienced last week. I request you to please publish it because the same moment, I prayed Sai that I will post the unforgettable experience as soon as we return back. I am a middle class working lady living with my family and parents accompanying me. With the ultimate blessings of Shirdi Sai, we planned our trip to Shirdi from August 13th to August 16th. Myself, my husband and our two kids, my parents and two of our family friends were about to travel. As we reserved for train four months prior to our travelling date, after our train tickets were confirmed, our whole family was enjoying immense pleasure as we were going to have great Darshan of Sainath Maharaaj and were planning each and every necessity of our travel and gathering required items like medicines, food packets for packing food items, umbrella if it rains at Shirdi, woollen items for elders and kids, etc., etc. Like this our plan was getting enhanced day by day and finally the auspicious day of our departure to Shirdi came.



Actually as per plan we have to go by Dadar Express from Chennai to Pune and from Pune we have to take another train to Shirdi. We arrived at Chennai Egmore station with ecstasy feel having Sai in all our hearts. Checking the platform number of our train, we started moving to that platform. As we have to climb and get down to the other side of the particular platform, we went towards an escalator where many passengers were going through. My husband started climbing with some luggage, next to him myself with some luggage holding my younger daughter in my hand as she was only 10 years. Next to me few steps back our two family friends and my mother started stepping in the escalator. In few seconds, we heard a loud noise from my mother and she was screaming my name and falling down on the moving steps of escalator and we were shocked to the core.

All went speechless and my eyes went dark as I was scared about what happened to my mother and what will happen to our plan. At one stage on hearing other passengers shout, the operator of the escalator switched off and it got stopped. All others, who were shocked and standing dumbstruck, slowly rushed towards my mother and I ran towards her and tried to lift her, but she was crying loudly out of severe pain and she couldn’t get up and stand. She cried and asked me to cancel their tickets and requested me to call my sister for help, who is at Chennai and told she will go to hospital for treatment and asked us to proceed with our Shirdi trip.

We didn’t want to leave them at Chennai and proceed and though I was disturbed of this mishap, a strong faith on SAI inside me made me console my mom and slowly we tried to lift her step by step and moved towards train and somehow with great difficulty we boarded her into train uttering Sai’s name each and every second. Actually she was totally unable to stand straight due to severe injury in her pubic bone area. All our group members and myself started praying Sai beside her and with Sai’s blessings we reached Pune and with the help of wheel chair brought down my mom from train and waited for two hours and boarded next train to Shirdi with the help of co-passengers. I’m sure Sai came in the form of co-passengers and helped us to carry my mom as she couldn’t keep a single step ahead with her left leg. As she came with a great will power to see Sai, we stepped on Shirdi soil.

There all persons, who saw my mother immediately ran to help and with the help of a good friend of us, we took her to Shirdi Sainath Trust Hospital and there in emergency ward, they started with immediate treatment and doctors, nurses and each and everyone helped us and x-ray, CT scan were taken and we were praying Sai with heavy hearts that result should not be complicated. Finally the results came and doctors told that a fracture had happened in pelvic pubic bone area and only cure is complete bed rest for 2 months and no need of surgery. On hearing this, I was thanking Sai with tears in my eyes each and every second. After 4 hours of our stay in hospital, we shifted my mom to the hotel, where we had booked accommodation. Really it was unimaginable if you come to know what happened next.

We reached Shirdi by 12 noon and treatment went on till 5 pm. After reaching our hotel room, we all took bath and refreshed ourselves. Meantime, as we requested our beloved friends there, they arranged for a special Darshan with a special pass for my mother’s sake as we had come from Tamilnadu to have Baba Darshan. Even now I get goose bumps if I think about that. With the help of wheel chair, all our group members carried her into “Samadhi Mandir” where our beloved Baba is living and with tears in my eyes had very good Darshan and I prayed that my mom should start walking soon on her own. Sai helped us each and every second of our stay there and after two days stay there, same way we boarded Shirdi-Chennai express on Friday morning and reached Chennai on Saturday (17.08.2013).

Now she is admitted in a private ortho hospital for rest and proper care is given. Even all doctors say it’s a great miracle that my mom was able to travel till Shirdi with this fracture and above all had the Darshan of Shri Baba!! It’s none other than Baba, who gave my mother strength and courage to all of us to proceed to Shirdi and have Baba’s Darshan. So sweet of my Baba!! If not, we all would have been much upset. Definitely my Baba will cure my mother soon and make her walk on her own with HIS BLESSINGS and with all your prayers!! Thank you.

  34. Very wonderful experience! It was Baba who came as those strangers to help your mother to the Sainath Hospital (how apt!) near the train station. I'm sure it was Baba who helped your mother and all of you reach Shirdi without any further problem and your mother was able to enjoy a wonderful darshan of Baba despite this accident. I am sure too that Baba will help her recover very quickly, give her Udi as well as part of her regular medication regimen. Om Sai Ram!

I was surprised reading your experience as the same incident happened with me while we had a family trip to Shiridi in July with my parents and 2 family friends, the only difference is that the escalator accident happened where my mother, father and grand mother slipped and got some minor injuries but nothing complicated happened. This happened in Secunderabad railway station on our return journey from Shiridi. We were so happy that they were all safe even after such a terrible and dangerous incident which is all due to our loving Baba's blessings. My prayers are with your mom.
