When it is our practice to go to Sai Mandir, it also becomes practice of Baba to wait for us. Being humans, surrounded and over occupied by responsibilities and time constraints, we sometimes try to avoid our practice, but will Baba accept this? The answer is plain no and this can be clearly understood by the following incident sent by Sai Devotee.
Shirdi Sai Baba Devotee Puneet from India says: Dear Hetal Ji, Your site is simply marvelous. May Baba give you more encouragement to write & post articles on this site. I am writing to tell you my experience which really overwhelmed me a lot.
Till December 2008, I was not a Sai Baba Bhakta (I wish I was!!!) The first week of January brought bad news for me because of which I cried, cried and cried. I believed in other Gods, but somebody prayed for my betterment at Shirdi that time, and looks like Sai Baba heard that prayer. I now read Sai Satchritra, Sai Baba stories and listen Bhajans daily. I have also started going to Sai Baba mandir twice daily (first to Lodhi road mandir while returning from office at around 7-7.30 and secondly for night aarti at Sai Baba mandir Saket at 9-10 PM). I sit at both the temples for around 40-45 minutes before leaving for home. I try to visit both temples daily, but because of office or home responsibilities, I have to miss Lodhi road temple sometimes.
One evening, I got late in office. So I thought of skipping the Lodhi road mandir and visit only the Saket mandir at night. However, Sai Baba only knows how his leelas. Whilie driving, it came to my mind that I should atleast pass by the Lodhi road mandir and bow my head from outside. So I changed my route and took the route which goes through lodhi road mandir. There is a traffic signal before the Sai Baba mandir at Lodhi road, which is hardly 50 metres away from the parking area of mandir. I was waiting for the traffic light to get green, when suddenly an auto driver on the left knocked on my car window and told me that the tyre is punctured. I drove my car to the parking space, just 50 metres, and called up the 365 days mechanic service. The mechanic told me that he will come in an hour’s time. I became so happy. I parked my car there and went to mandir and thanked Sai Baba for this wonderful and sweet leela of His. Somebody might call this as a simple coincidence, but for me, this was a marvelous leela. It was his way of calling me to His darbar. No doubt, my Shraddha towards Him has become stronger.
Now I want to go to Shirdi. I have never been there. I want to see the village where He used to roam around. Want to see those huts, those lucky stones and grasses which have kissed His Feet. I wish I go there as soon as possible. Please jaldi se aane ki Permission do na Baba ji…

hi charu,
Definitely there must be some reason for u missing the train. But the best thing is that u still have that desire to go to Shirdi… That fire is still there. And why do u say that ur life has nothing for you ?? Pls dont say that. Everybody in this world has suffered something somewhere. How can one enjoy the happiness until he has tasted the bitterness of sorrows. Same is with me. Anyway, even I hv not been able to plan my travel to Shirdi as of now. Just waiting for the right time..

Sai Baba of Shirdi was a crown jewel among Saints. He lived his entire life out in a small and obscure village in India. The villagers of Shirdi each claimed him as a member of their own religion, Muslim or Hindu, but really he came to make peace between them and he always encouraged each to stick to his own religious path. He drew devotees from all over the country though he never traveled and never cared for fame. Over and over his devotees found he knew their innermost thoughts and details of their lives. He effected cures, conferred health, happiness, and prosperity, and made childless couples conceive. His real purpose though was to awaken in them a longing for the spiritual life.
