Hard times always come to test our patience and our devotion to Lord Sai Baba. Though we feel He is testing us, in the end we conclude saying that It is our Lord Sai Baba Who has taken us out of all situations and ultimately those tests are forgotten. We as a family are blessed to be His devotees and therefore, understand each other's emotions and feelings about our Sai Baba. I and My husband were working in India till last year in reasonable positions. However, we aspired to work and stay abroad. After 5-6 months of waiting, my husband finally got an assignment in Australia and his employer promised it to be Long Term (more than 1.5 years to begin with and extendable). Considering this to be dream come true, we accepted it and I also resigned from my position and we started preparing for our trip, which included, surrendering our house (on rent) in India, selling/disposing off our household goods etc.


By Baba's grace everything went smooth and we arrived in Melbourne in August 2011 and started settling here. Things were going fine, until October 2011, when my husband came to know that his assignment fore-closed and we may have to return to India. We were totally shattered as we had no place to go back to India and with my quitting the job. It would have been difficult to afford a good life there. We were so worried and ran after all managers here to help us because this was not as per the promise made to us. We were so frustrated that so many times, in our mind we fought with Baba also and blamed Him for not taking care of us and not saving us from this situation. We had lost our peace of our mind and our home.

Finally, after everything, we got an extension of few weeks, but December end was written down as a date of our return to India. We felt so helpless and lonely.

One afternoon in the first week of December, I was browsing through internet and suddenly came across this portal (I didn’t notice it though the name, but now I realized that I read the pages from this portal). I also want to share that I had heard about Saptah Parayan, but I had never attempted it, as I did not have the confidence of doing it within a week's time. But that afternoon, when I came across this web-site, I felt like reading more about Saptaah Parayan and I read about it. Finally I decided that I am going to do it. I prayed to Baba that He must help me in completing this Parayan and also forgive my mistakes that I may make by losing my concentration while doing this Parayan.



It was Friday afternoon and by uttering Baba's name, I started my Parayan and by Baba's grace, I could do my first day successfully. Believe me, It was a signal for me from Baba that He is around. I was happy and at peace and told this to my husband also.

We both decided to completely surrender to Baba and wait for His decision. While I completed my Parayan, my husband supported me. I used to tell him stories from Sai Satcharitra and we used to relate it to our life. We both have read Sai Satcharitra many times in the past, but this time, we were actually experiencing it.

As the Parayan progressed, we felt our mind so much at peace and we were able to forget the stress we had. This was a miracle in itself. But Baba is not only powerful, but also very kind. He had bigger plans. One company, where my husband had applied few months back through his friend, called him to check if he was available for interview process. We were happy, but we also knew that we had very little time on our hand. We told him the whole situation and he too acted fast by Baba's grace. Within few days, my husband had 2 rounds of interviews. We cannot explain in words, but at all steps we felt Baba helping us. Finally, my husband got the job and he was offered a full time position with them.

Our joy knew no bounds. We understood Baba is always there with us and He has helped us even after we had no time and hope left for ourselves. We called our parents in India and told them that "Baba ne hume sundar shella diya hai" (“Baba gave me Shella”). Our parents understood that our problems got solved because just the previous days we were talking about the Sai Satcharitra (chapter XLI) where Baba tells BV Deo "I am sitting here ready to give you the whole gold-embroidered Shella (valuable cloth), then why go to others to steal rags, and why should you get into the habit of stealing?". We interpret this as when Baba is there to help us, why ask others.

Dear Devotees, from our experience, we can say that while it is important that we make all human efforts for living a happy life as per our wishes, but having full "Shraddha" and "Saburi" in our Baba makes us a stronger and balanced person, which is the key to all happiness and peace in this life. Sai Satcharitra is a holy book for us that guide us on ways to lead our life and attain the objective of this human life granted to us.

I pray to Baba to be with all His children and guide them to happiness and peace.
