Sai sister Geetha ji says: OM SAI SRI SAI JAI JAI SAI

Our elders used to say that at least once in a life span, human beings would suffer in one or other way to get rid of our past karmas. For our family members, it came in the form of my daughter’s ill health. She was very active and her performance in all ways was excellent till the age of 9 but at the age of 10 she had a fall and fractured her left elbow. After 2 surgeries, everybody thought she would become alright. But there started our worries. Within 3 months, all her joints got swollen and we consulted one of the famous orthopedic surgeons in Asia and took treatment. Even after 5 years of treatment there was no end to her sufferings. Things got worse and she could not walk without bending her knees and was not able to sit on floor like other children. She could not concentrate on her studies too.

Meanwhile, one of my friend’s gave me the book of Shri Sai Satcharitra. I hesitated to believe Baba. I kept it in the shelf and prayed to my favorite God Lord Guruvayurappa to get rid of our difficulties in life. But my friend’s father himself had a fall and became unconscious and admitted in a hospital for more than a week. After seeing the CT scan, the Doctors told them, he had tumor in his brain and had to be operated. So she and all her family members started reading Sai Satcharitra day and night and praying Baba to save her father. If he become alright, family members would go to Shirdi. I also went and saw her father who was unconscious. Her father was gradually improving. When her father’s conscious was returning, the doctors took a 2nd CT Scan and told them there was no symptom of tumor and he could be treated by oral medicines itself. Again she came to me and told with joy that Baba had blessed her family members and her father was discharged from hospital with good health.


There I started reading of Sai Satcharitra. When I was about to complete the book, one of my husband’s friends Gopalakrishnan from his native place asked us to take our daughter to Dr. Hariharan in Trivandrum. Meanwhile, I prayed Baba that if my daughter got well taking treatment with that Doctor, we would visit Shirdi. Before our chance to consult the doctor, I thought, Baba Himself would be there in the form of Dr. Hariharan. To my great surprise, while counseling, doctor asked my daughter that which God you would like more? My daughter also said, I like Sai Baba. Doctor was very happy as he himself was a devotee of Baba. He told her to continue her faith in Baba, hold His feet and also told that merciful Baba will bless her. He prescribed some medicine and told us that she would be alright within a week, but she should continue the medicines (only iron tablet with one more medicine) for another 3 months. After 3 days, my daughter started walking freely and on visiting Shirdi, she sat on the floor folding her legs. I shed tears of joy. I felt after sitting in Dwarakamai, all her sufferings have gone. In all our tasks I feel Baba is with our family members.

Recently, when I visited Sai Baba Temple, Mylapore, Chennai everyone was distributing a paper telling that one snake came to a devotee’s house, it was Sai Baba in the form of a snake and if one failed to spread that news, Baba would punish and they will suffer in their life. My perception is that if anyone wants to spread Sai Baba’s leelas and miracles, they shall simply present a copy of Sai Satcharitra or Sai Leelas or Life of Sai Baba to avoid giving unnecessary troubles to others. He Himself will attract His devotees and He will not punish anyone. If we have full faith and perseverance, He will decide what to give and what not to give for His devotees own good.
