Here is another wonderful experience of a devotee with Shirdi Sai Baba.

Its one of my personal experiences with SHIRDI SAI BABA, though it’s lengthy if you have patience you can go through.

It’s back in April 17th 1993. Initally I was close to Sai baba in my house, later my dad was one who started doing Arti at night 10:00 PM in our house. At that time I & my dad were Shirdi Sai Baba devotees. That day my father happened to go to Shirdi Sai Baba Temple in Masab Tank Hyderabad. Rest all were at home self, mom, sister in Old Mallepally, Hyderabad. My dad normally attends Sai Arti in temple, comes back to home by 8:00 or 9:00 PM. My mom was stitching that evening, she was looking healthy and hale. Around 7:00 PM or so while she was stitching, suddenly she got stomach ache, was not able to tolerate that pain. She never goes to hospital but she herself rushed to a near by clinic to seek doctor's advice. Doctor happened to give her injection (pain killer) and told that she should be alright. The pain was uncontrollable throughout the night. She happened to go to bathroom several times & urinated. Throughout the night she didn't even eat or drink anything. Next day, Sunday around 6:00 AM early hours in the morning my father rushed her to admit in a hospital instead of waiting on medication any more. She was admitted in hospital (a reputed one) that is close by, as we were having board exams couldn't go and see her and my parents don't want us to get distracted in studies, my father told she is keeping well, doctor is taking care of her. Days passed by but there was no improvement in her condition. Three days passed our exams were over and we thought of going to see mom in hospital, I was shocked to see her with a swollen stomach, lying on a bed which was tilted crossed in shape to make her comfortable in that position.

We sisters happened to tell my father to change the hospital as they are not providing better services. The doctor comes on rounds, sees her & leaves, give some injections, medication etc.

It was on April 22nd 1993 Thursday, We sisters at home dont know about anything that Doctor called for operation and we had no clue whether it was going on. Myself and my sister were praying in front of Shirdi Sai Baba's photo (The picture where Sai Baba is sitting on the stone).I like that photo very much that was the only big photo we had in our house at that time. Me and my sister literally saw bright light in that photo though it was hung to wall I could climb on bed and hold it with hands. It’s fresh in my mind. BABA gave message to both of us that he is taking care of my mother. Baba in the photo was so bright...for few minutes. We were speechless. We were anxiously waiting for my dad to come home to pick dinner for mother and also he had to take dinner and go back to hospital again. We were worried why my dad didn’t turn up, it was around 9:00 PM 0r 10:00 PM at night. We were waiting for him.

Now see BABA's miracle...The moment my dad came we told this incident and he told us that there was new doctor who was experienced enough, who came on rounds that day, the moment he saw my mom's stomach he called for X-ray. He didn’t literally wait for a moment after he saw the X-ray, called for an operation immediately. Within few minutes they arranged for an operation. The day when operation was done was Thursday. Doctor was not pretty much sure whether my mom's life would be saved with that operation. If it doesn’t work he thought he should go for another operation. He himself had his fingers crossed and was waiting for updates from nurses on my mom's condition. Doctor was nervous whether it would be successful or not. Doctor was waiting if she can excrete without any problem as lot of gas was accumulated & also small intestine got twisted in her stomach. (The parts that were removed from her stomach were kept for display, I didn’t dare to see them) My mom excreted (the gas from stomach was released and the operation was successful), doctor after knowing that he said "Thank God".

We were very happy to know that the time she was operated it was the same time baba showed us the message that he has taken care of my mom's life. We dont know that operation was going on during that time in evening 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM.

BABA knows who would be real true devotees to him & pulls them towards him, they get drawn to him no matter they prayed or not. My mom prays to God, she was devotional but she never ever prayed to Shirdi Sai Baba though me & dad prayed to Shirdi Sai Baba.

This event in my mom's life changed her worship completely towards Shirdi Sai Baba. Since then my mother started praying SAI BABA & regularly goes to Sai baba temple every Thursday. She does 3 Arathis at home, offers food to BABA in afternoon. She became more devotional towards Baba. Since couple of years she does annanadanam on Thursday (prepares food on herself). Our family is indebted to Shirdi Sai baba for saving my mother's life.

2nd time experience

This was 2nd instance when BABA saved my mother's life.It was around 10 years back incident. My mom had been to her home town for performing some vratam pooja, ritual on occasion of "Attla Taddi" a Telugu festival. As per the pooja rituals all ladies go to lake, light lamps and leave them in pond.


In those days people used to buy fish (small ones), leave them in lake, used feed them. This is a business in some towns. My mom and couple of other ladies were fasting that day and in the evening all went to a lake to complete the pooja by lighting lamps and leaving them in the lake so that they can break their fasting.

There were few steps on the bank of the lake and one by one was going to last step and leaving the lamps, it was my mother's turn and she got to the last step, left the lamps in lake, just before coming back she swept her leg in the water she was not aware that in a fraction of second she was carried by the currents of water and dragged into the lake.

She does not know swimming. She got drowned except her head was tilted. It was dark at night. No men were coming forward to rescue her, when my mother's sister asked one of the men for help there he said he had money as he was returning from his work. So he couldn’t dare to jump in the lake and save her as his money would get wet. My aunt was shouting loudly for help. None of the ladies knew swimming and were literally shocked to see my mom reaching from end of bank of lake to other end of bank of lake. Literally she does not know swimming none of them helped her. Everyone who was watching this was startled and was dumb wondering how come she crossed the lake.

It was literally BABA who helped her without swallowing little bit of water, he took her from one end to other end. She did not drink water. There was Baba's temple nearby and without any hesitation she went and attended the Arti not even feeling shy in wet clothes.

Today, while going through previous editions of Sai Leela Magazine, I had a glance of an article which was named as 'Sai Sahcharya'. At first I presumed it as an article regarding spiritual teachings of Shirdi Sai Baba linked with some act of His. But on further reading I realised that it was an experience of Sai Devotee Dr. Pushpa residing in Ambala Cantt. I was so touched to read it that I was almost in tears and decided to translate it.

Here is the article:

This universe is created by Shirdi Sai Baba. Sai Baba listens to us every moment. He stands besides us in life's most critical moment and makes us feel His presence. The same thing was experienced by us on June 15, 2006. It was Thursday. Our beloved Biji (grandma - here devotee's mother-in-law) health was deteriorating day by day. She was very weak physically, but was fit mentally. Suddenly on Saturday June 10, 2006, her health was at worst stage and she had to hospitalised. My daughter Astha has immense devotion Shirdi Sai Baba. She had bought some small pictures from Shirdi. I placed one of them near to my mother-in-law's chest and the other was placed on the wall near to her bed where she placed her head. Since then her health started improving. On Wednesday, June 14, 2006 she asked for Sai Baba's Prasad (offering). We told her that the next day was Thursday, so we will give her Prasad the next day. But when we reached hospital the next day, we found that Biji was put on ventilation. She was having difficulty in breathing. I placed Vibhuti near Sai Baba's Photo and then placed it in Biji's mouth. After sometime Biji's breath started declining. All of us started looking each other and tried to hide our tears with each other. Our hearts were full of fear. The very scene of death made us speechless. There was dangerous silence in Biji's room. After one-two hours her health become worst. The most dreadful moment was that when she tried to speak something by pulling all her breath with full energy, but was not able to utter a single word. Biji called each one us, moved her lips, tried to speak with full energy from within, but no voice would come out. We were very helpless in this pathetic situation. Again and again, only this thing was coming up in our hearts that what is that wish of Biji which we are not able to fulfill. We all took our ears close of Biji's lips one by one, but every time the words were unclear and the results was nill with 'no word'.

After some time it was felt that she was calling Apurva - Astha. So, we called them up and they reached within one hour from Chandigarh. Astha started crying taking her grandma's hand in her hand. Few elders said now God has taken away her voice and now her last moment has come. But, Astha replied back saying why do you say so? Sai Baba will surely cure her. After that, she sat aside Biji's head and started crying and was doing Sai Naam Jap simultaneously. Tears will falling from her eyes continously and in very breath 'Jai Sai Ram'......'Jai Mata Di' was heard. Biji kissed her faced and became speechless. That sight of love touched our hearts from deep within, but we were helpless. We felt as if a big mountain has collasped on our hearts.

Suddenly in the evening Biji called "Pushpa" and asked me to bring milk till 8 o'clock. After some time Biji started speaking. The sight was worth seeing where grandmother-grand-daughter expressed their happiness with tears. Hats Off to this miracle of Shirdi Sai Baba!!! All the persons who were familiar with Biji were surprised to see her speaking. Shirdi Sai Baba gifted her divine speech. Before one night, Biji wished to eat Makke Ki Roti and Sag (Chapati/Roti made from corn flour and vegetable, a special Punjabi Dish) and this wish of hers was fulfilled by our friend Dr. Bansal.

After this every day Biji and Astha talked to their heart's content and played pranks like kids. After taking rest for some time the same sequence of talks started and in between words like 'Om Sai Ram' and 'Ram Ram' were heard. Astha also missed bank training in Chandigarh. She passed very short time at home and went running to hospital. When I asked her, she said I am dying to talk to Biji, Baba has given me the opportunity. Biji was in deep pain, but when she used to talk to Astha, her pain would vanish. No one knew what talks were those which gave both of their minds happiness of Brahma Lok. We were indebted towards Sai Baba after seeing this miracle. This sequence of talks continued for four long days. The ventilation was removed. All the reports also turned out to be normal. We all took a breath of relief. On Sunday Astha and Apurva were busy with Biji with their playfull pranks till 11 P.M. When Biji was sleepy, they left hospital with their father.

Since few months, we were watching Sai Baba Serial telecasted on Star Plus, but from past one month it was not telecasted. So we were not able to view it. But when we started television at 9:10 P.M. it was being telecasted. Tatya Patil's father's death was being telecasted. Tatya Patil's father was on his death bed, in the end his soul gets merged with Shirdi Sai Baba and He says 'I cannot give him life any more. We have to adhere to the law of nature. Death is certain.' After this the serial ends. My heart again started trembling with fear of death. In this way Sai Baba stamped whole situation with His grace and also gave an indication of future happening.

Whole night the scene of death was roaming in front of my eyes and at last I prayed to Sai to take me with Him in the same way and make me one with Him. O Sai, shower your grace on me till my last moment.

In the morning, routine started. My daugther left for Chandigard and I was getting ready for hospital and the news of Biji's death came to my ears. Our hearts were full of sadness but the whole incident was blessed by Sai Baba was thus proved. Biji's getting back her voice with the grace of Sai Baba, last scene of the serial, my fear of death, the reason behind everything was now clear and in front of my eyes.

Our Biji became one with Sai Baba after complete recovery from her illness. All desires of her heart were fulfilled in these four days. She could meet every near and far relative before leaving this world. Biji met with everybody consciously.

Astha and Apurva were not able to control themselves seeing the dead body Biji. It was very difficult to make them calm. They were saying continously that Biji had recovered. Sai Baba took her out from illness and then why did He do so? Suddenly Astha saw Biji in white sari with Sai Baba. After this she became calm and told me her experience. She even consoled her father. It was felt as if the death ceremonies of Biji was taken care by Sai Baba. The next day photograph of Biji was framed, she looked same as it was seen by Astha. Biji's face seemed as the face of loving and caring mother. It was hanged near calendar of Sai Baba on the wall. Such an arrangement was made that it appeared as if the photo-frame of Biji was a part of the calendar. When Astha saw it, she said that she had seen the same Biji....!!!

The whole incident became memorable to us. Each incident was a mirror effect of miracles with grace of Sai Baba. We will always remember this divine lovable form of Sai Baba.

Every act of Sai Baba is unique. His way of playing Leelas is beyond our logical thinking. But here I came across an incident which is similar to the one which we had read before few days. Readers may be remembering a post related to Sai Baba appearing as Twin Rainbows. Following is another incident of the same kind by Prashantji of Pune.

Madam, I wish you a Happy & prosperous New Year.

I also had the same experience while coming from Shirdi to Pune.

On 2nd June 2008, I & my Parents visited Shirdi. We stayed there for two days. On 3rd June, at 2pm we boarded the bus for Pune. On the way,the sky was covered partially with dark clouds signalling heavy rain. Some areas were covered with dark clouds while the other were receiving sunlight. This was the beautiful scene depicting greenary & bringing close to mother Earth.

Meanwhile, I was lost in my lovely memories of Baba's Darshan & murmuring Bhajan "Thoda Dhyan Laga" which I heard in the Evening Arti of Baba in Samadhi Mandir.

At that time I was looking for my SaiBaba in sky & suddenly I saw two rainbows.One was very Faint in colour & the other was clearly visible with its complete pattern. They both were present one above the other as it is shown in photo taken by you.

Looking at this, I realised that Baba is with me. As I was desperately searching for him in sky, Baba granted my wish with this twin rainbow showing his presence.

Afterwards we faced Thunderstorm in our way. Everywhere there was lightning and trees were uprooted by strong winds. Everyone in bus was afraid, praying Sainath Maharaj to stop this thunderstorm. As it is truly said that "Jako Rakhein Sai, Mar sake na Koi", we all reached Pune safely at night.

This is written by Devotee's father who many a times send thanks giving mails for the bhajans uploaded by me. We reached our home safely with Baba's great grace. No electricity was there in the area. But with His grace we got local bus to our residence. Thanks to Baba & thanks to you for sending this experience.

Since many days devotees were just dropping in lines in my mail box regarding their own experiences. Today I am reminded of an experience of a friend of my family friend who was helped by Shirdi Sai Baba in getting job.

The devotee completed her graduation and was in search of a job. She had a desire to study further and due to lack of funds she decided to work. She had a good academic record and was confident that she would get good job soon. But from past one year she attended many interviews. Still there was no response from either side. She is a true devotee of Shirdi Sai Baba. She had faith that Shirdi Sai Baba will do the best for her. But due to no progress since one year, she lost all hopes of getting desirous job and decided not to attend interview for any job any more.

Before two months, she found an advertisement of a company seeking candidates. The company profile was good. So her mother and sister insisted her to go for interview. She was not at all willing to go as she thought she had to return empty handed. She opened the cupboard and a snap of Shirdi Sai Baba was noticed by her. She mentally said to Shirdi Sai Baba that if He said Yes, then only she will go for the interview. She made two chits, one with 'Yes' and other with 'No' and asked Shirdi Sai Baba. She shuffled both the chits and got affirmative reply from Shirdi Sai Baba. Thus she went for the interview following Shirdi Sai Baba's instruction.

After the interview she was on the way to her home and she received call from the officer-in-charge that she was selected and had to join immediately. Moreover the pay scale, which she was offered, was much more than her expectation. Shirdi Sai Baba, thus, tested her faith and patience and gave the best to her. I wish her good luck for her bright future.

The title of the post seems strange, isn't it? But its a true fact. It is rightly said that nature is God and our Sadguru Sai Baba is not an exception to it. He is everywhere and we only need such loving vision to see Him everywhere. The following is an experience of Sai devotee Praveenji who had darshan of Baba in rainbow and he has attached the picture of two rainbows together which is a rare sight. I requested Sai devotee Nimesh to insert Baba's picture in the original one and it has been uploaded with this post. Click on both the pictures to save in original format. Seeing two rainbows at the same time is a very uncommon phenomenon but its a true fact. I could gather some information regarding this phenomenon through my brother who is a pharmacy student. He said that out of the two rainbows one is called primary rainbow and the other one is called secondary rainbow. Secondary rainbow is slightly lighter than primary one and the sequence of the colours is also opposite. It is based on principle of ray optics - refraction and internal dispertion. Now forwarding the mail. He has also started narrating his experience with the same question.

Have you ever seen two rainbows together?

This happened last august in London. Being new in London I did not now where the sai centres were located and while searching for one on the internet I landed up on a website which showed the location of one centre in the northern part of the city. My friend and I took the tube from west London on a Thursday evening and after around an hour of travelling we got down at this tube station from where we were to catch a bus to where the centre was supposed to be. It had been raining lightly all along and after 10 minutes of waiting at the tube station we walked in the slight drizzle to the bus stop to catch a bus to the location. At the bus stop looking at the sky where a pretty and majestic rainbow arched across the horizon I asked my friend whether she had ever seen two rainbows together in the sky. The reply was of course a “No..was that possible?” Let’s see.. I said and prayed to Baba to put two rainbows for us…


The bus came and we boarded it but after we reached the location we found that there was no trace of a sai centre let alone a board showing directions… The only public building that we found was a school which was closed, the time being 6 pm. No one in the area knew of such a centre. After searching for nearly an hour we had to return back disheartened on not seeing our beloved Baba. As we boarded the bus back to the tube station I asked Baba,silently, why he did not grant us a darshan. Didn't he want us to be in his presence? No sooner had I thought this and looked out of the window, my heart leapt- lo and behold.. There in the sky were two rainbows..

We believe Baba had manifested himself for us and shown us that he was indeed with us in spite of us not seeing him in the centre.

After coming back I checked on the probability of seeing such a phenomena but it was found that such instances of two rainbows were rare.. we also checked the location of the centre and found that the school used to host bhajan sessions on Sundays only and thats why we missed seeing any signs of a sai centre that day. Attached is a photo of that day. The second rainbow is faint in the photo but was very visible to us.

He dropped in few lines about his experience which he wished to be shared with other members of Sai Community. I was just speechless after reading the whole incident.

Please find below details of MY SHIRDI TRIP and my experience with SAINATH.


I Stared for SHIRDI on Wednesday. My train was at 8pm. I boarded the train and occupied my berth. I was really tensed because this was the first time I was traveling alone to such a distant place. I had been to SHIRDI before couple of times but this time I was alone. I was really tensed but had faith in baba that everything will be fine and I knew that baba is always with me to protect me. When I woke up in the morning I could see some Sai devotees singing baba's bhajan. They kept singing baba's Leelas and it was really good to hear those. By around 10:30am I went and told a Sai devotee that we will sing Afternoon Aarthi by 12:00, to which he agreed.

By sharp 12 noon we all stared baba's Aarthi by placing baba's photo in front of us. The atmosphere was electric as all of us sang baba's aarthi in a single tone. After completion of Aarthi we all took baba's blessings and we all departed. I came back to my berth.

After some time I could see an old man coming towards our coach asking Bhakta, I noticed that no one was giving that old man anything and he was just marching towards me calmly. When he came near me I gave him a brand new DHOTI which I was carrying. I had purchased a new DHOTI before I boarded train on the advice of a Sai devotee.

When I gave that old man Dhoti he was very happy and placed his hand on my head and blessed me saying "baba will bless you son". After blessing me he placed his JHOLI (bag) in nearby place and started searching for something. After searching for some time, he took 10-15 brand new Sai baba's photo from his bag.

Everyone present over their were shocked to see brand new photos with that old man because he was very poor looking and no one expected photos of Sai with him in his bag.

He took all the photos outside and after much shuffling gave me 2 photos of Sai baba. In one photo Sai baba is seen inserting his hand in a big bowl of rice. He told me " see how Sai baba is preparing food for his devotees, can anyone do this".....

When other persons near me saw that old man was giving photos, they also started asking for photos with that old man. The old man became very angry and told them - " see he has given me DHOTI so its my responsibility to give him something, so I gave him photos, "those who give me, I give to them" . I could feel Sai baba within him. (Sai Brother Satish has sent the snap of the two photos which were gifted by Sai Baba and I have uploaded it here with the write up. Sorry for the bad quality, but we are fortunate that we can atleast see what Sai Baba has gifted him).

He also told them "you are coming from far places and are spending so much but still there is no use if you do not give anything to poor people.

After telling this he left happily.

After that old man departed. A person in front of me told that he was really surprised because that old man had so many brand photos of Sai. He was looking very poor and no one expected those photos in that dirty bag.

I was very happy that yet again Sai baba blessed me.

I reached Kopergaon by 2 in the afternoon and took an auto and reached Shirdi by 3pm. I took a room and after freshening myself I started towards the temple for baba's Darshan. It was 4:20pm when I entered the gate for Darshan along with the print out of Sai prayers which I had received from all the devotees. I had a very good Darshan and when I placed the printed papers of Sai prayers in front of Samadhi, the priest did not take it and gave it back to me. I was really dejected because it contained all the prayers and I had promised all the Sai devotees that their prayers will be placed in front of baba's Samadhi. I did not lose hopes and I entered the main gate again to have baba's darshan. It was around 5pm then.

I waited till the Aarthi began. Aarthi was awesome. Its really amazing to attend AARTHI in front of Sai Nath. All the Sai devotees sing the AARTHI in a single tone and it was really wonderful being part of AARTHI. After aarthi I moved forward to Sai baba's Samadhi.

I had heard that those who burn incense sticks on Thursday evening in baba's temple all their wishes will be fulfilled. I forgot to buy the incense sticks from outside and was also not in a position to go back and get the incense stick. Then I was just thinking what to do and oh.......I could see two incense sticks in front of me. I was really shocked to see that. I picked both the sticks and thanked baba and moved forwards with the print out of Sai prayers which I was carrying. I went ahead and gave the printed papers to the priest and it was duly accepted and was kept in front of Sai baba's Samadhi. I was very happy.

Please note that Sai baba accepted the prayers only after Aarthi and not before. When I visited him before that prayers were not accepted but after Aarthi it was accepted and placed right in front of him. I took Udhi and went to DWARKAMAYI and took Sai baba;s Darshan.

On every Thursday Sai baba;s photo is taken from DWARKAMAYI to CHAVADI because baba used to go to CHAVDI every alternate day to sleep their. Till now the same practice is followed in Shirdi on every Thursday.

On every Thursday there is a procession which takes place from DWARKAMAYI to CHAVADI.

I enquired about the procession timings and came to know that it will start by 9:15pm. I waited till the procession. By sharp 9:15 procession begun, it was electric, the drum sound and the people gathered and the Sai songs being played are really wonderful to see. I really felt I am blessed to see the procession. I cant express the atmosphere...oh....awesome it was....

After the procession I returned to my room and by 11pm and I kept alarm so that I can get up by 2am to see Kakad aarthi which begins at 4:30am. I was told that one has to go early in the morning to see Kakad aarthi. So I thought of getting up by 2am . I slept off and when I woke up it was already 3am. I was worried that I will not be able to see Kakad aarthi. I left for Mandir by 03:30 am and I joined a queue along with some people. I was really surprised to see only few people in that queue. After long time I came to know that this queue was only for special aarthi ticket holders. I did not have any ticket. The security guy was checking each and everyone’s ticket but when I entered he did not ask me any tickets and let me inside the temple. I was amazed and shocked by this. Without Sai blessings this was not possible. When I entered the Sai temple I was shocked because only me and quite few were allowed to be right in front of Sai baba idol. I was really happy to see baba right in front of me.

By 4:30 am Kakad aarthi began....it was really awesome once again to see the entire crowd singing baba's aarthi in a single tone. I cant express those feelings.

I also had a fortune to visit for afternoon aarthi which begins by 12noon. After finishing aarthi I just came out of Samadhi temple.

I was just leaving the temple and suddenly I was made reminded of one thing. I had prayed Sai baba that I will put some money if my friend gets a job in my company. With Sai baba;s blessings my friend got the job in my company but I had forgot to put the money in temple as promised.

See how wonderful baba's Leelas are...he will always remind you if you have forget anything and see that he gets what he should get. This is also written in Sai Satcharitra that baba always reminds devotees of their promises if the devotee forgets. I took out money and I put it in hundi and came out of temple. I went to room and took my bag and left for railway station to catch train which was at 4pm.

See how WONDERFUL are the Leelas of Sai Nath.

I boarded train and reached BANGALORE in the afternoon.

Please believe in Sai Nath and I am sure he will bless all of us and will always guide us in correct path.
